Evans Drum Heads - dB Rock Pack (10" 12" 16") with 14" dB Snare Batter and 22" dB Bass Batter

I bought a set of Remo SilentStroke heads for my kit to practice at home with as I don't live somewhere that allows for full drum set volumes. After some time with them, I wasn't super excited. The kick head felt super floppy no matter how much I tightened it (especially since I was working on double kick) and the volume and tone out of the drums was very lacking. So instead, I went for the Evans DbOne, which is a step up in terms of volume (the Evans DbZero is a more direct competitor to SilentStroke) but it was entirely worth it. The main improvement was the kick head. Compared to the simple mesh of a silent stroke/db0, it feels MUCH closer to real response and lets me practice higher speed techniques like heel-toe that I couldn't do before. It also doesn't need a protection patch since it has one built in! The rest of the heads are similarly improved, with a noticeable but not massive increase in volume, but with a far greater increase in playability, rebound, and tone from the drum. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the snare head. The snappiness of the included faux snare wires is cool, but honestly a *bit* too loud for my taste, especially in snare heavy blasts (and since I have a heavy hand on the snare in general). I've been using these for about 10 months, and after pretty regular practice on them for that time, the only issue I've noticed is a very slight separation of the kick head center pad (and it will probably last for a while more) so durability is not an issue at all. It also helps that they look pretty cool! Overall this is the ideal set for me, in between the almost fully silent pure mesh heads and regular ones in terms of both volume and playability.

These are pretty awesome. I didn’t use the bass one, but would have if I had to be super quiet. I used these at our band practice. They liked them, but the guitars out powered them - isn’t that always the case with guitarists. I took them off and put regular heads back on. But if you have a kid and want to totally muffle the drums these are perfect

It’s an incredible product I really enjoy play now with confidence that I’m not messing with my neighbors and the quality of the sound is great.

I was looking for a low volume option for home practice. Evans claims an 80% sound level reduction with these. That checks out. Yet, there is enough tone to get that real drum sound. The main thing for me is the feel of playing a full-on acoustic set without the volume. Practicing for hours on a electronic kit with hard rubber pads was hurting my wrists. These Evans heads allow for the right amount of rebound without being either too dead or too bouncy. Love the bass drum head! They hit the sweet spot for feel. Now I can practice without driving everyone out of the house. Coupled with low-volume cymbals, this is a winning setup. If there is one criticism, it is that this should be offered with 12" and 13" tom heads instead of 10" and 12". Fortunately, I am using a 4 piece setup. Bottom line... these are not cheap, but they are worth it.

These are a great choice to bring drum volume down while keeping a good solid sound. I also changed out the cymbals with low volume. I am happy with the changes because now I can play without ear protection and annoying my family. I tried Evans muting pads and they were garbage. These actually sound like the drum should, just much quieter. I’m about to get a 14” for the new floor tom I have coming. Also want to mention the snare head sounds great, very close to a real snare, and you don’t need to use the chain below. The head gives the effect of the chain and it surprisingly sounds very similar. Only downside, the bounce back on these isn’t quite as strong as normal drum heads. It’s an acceptable loss to me though. I would definitely buy these again. I highly recommend these.

If you uses triggers, remo silentstroke is the way to go. these are louder than remos, but also maintain attack and tone which the remos do not. with triggers they didn’t seem to work as well, likely because of the muffling but did still sort of work. I use them to practice with my band, since they won’t blow everyone out of the water with sheer volume and you can practice without extreme volume, or hearing risk situations. in that context they get 5 stars as they are the best I have had

Acquisto indispensabile per chi vuole suonare ogni giorno a casa. Le pelli sono incredibili. Tom eccezionali. Risposta molto simile a quelle tradizionali. Cassa ottima suggerisco non riempirla molto per avere un effetto più realistico. Forse da migliorare il rullante. Bisogna abituarsi un po al rimbalzo, meglio non tirarla molto. Insomma sono il miglior compromesso rispetto ad altre alternative come per esempio le mesh. Amazon e rivenditore spettacolari

Conservan el tono de los toms, tarima y bombo, aunque con una significativa disminución del sonido. Podemos usar la batería Sin remordimiento.

Ce produit est top, aillant une batterie acoustique et vivant essentiellement de nuit il m'arrive de parfois avoir envie ou besoin de jouer tardivement de la batterie. Je n'ai pas encore essayer de prise de son par micro mais le résultat est la! Atténuations du bruit conséquente, la sonorité ressemble un peut a celle d'une batterie pour enfant mais après quelques réglages je devrais obtenir un son qui me correspond très atténué.

Nach ausgiebigem Testen des Evans dB One Rock Packs kann ich mit Überzeugung sagen, dass diese Felle eine hervorragende Lösung für Drummer darstellen, die ihre Lautstärke reduzieren müssen, ohne auf Spielgefühl und Sound zu verzichten. Das Set besteht aus Fellen für Tom-Toms (10", 12", 16"), einer 14" Snare und einem 22" Bass Drum Fell. Die spezielle Konstruktion bringt wirklich eine deutliche Lautstärkereduzierung. Natürlich klingen die Felle nicht so authentisch wie meine Remo-Felle, aber sie sind für das Üben daheim super geeignet. Was mich besonders gefreut hat, ist die perfekte Eignung für meine Wohnung. Wer Mieter mit geräuschempfindlichen Nachbarn ist, steht ja vor dem Dilemma: entweder gar nicht spielen oder ständig mit Beschwerden rechnen. Die dB One Felle tragen eine guten Teil zur Lösung dieses Problems bei. Die Lautstärkereduzierung ist wirklich sehr effektiv, so dass man auch zu vertretbaren Tageszeiten spielen kann, ohne dass die Nachbarn an die Wand klopfen. Für das Zusammenleben in einem Mehrfamilienhaus sind diese Felle ein echter Segen. Trotzdem gelten natürlich die üblichen Ruhezeiten, denn vollständig geräuschlos wird’s dann doch nicht. Das Snare Fell produziert den typischen Snare-Sound übrigens auch ohne den gespannten Snare-Teppich. Da sind so eine Art Lamellen an der Unterseite des Fells, die den Sound erzeugen. Das klingt schon ziemlich gut und ist für mich als Anfänger absolut in Ordnung. Das Bass Drum Fell reduziert die tiefen Frequenzen deutlich, gibt aber trotzdem so viel „Druck“, dass man dsa wirklich als Bass bezeichnen kann. Die Tom-Felle klingen ausgewogen und bieten trotz Dämpfung genügend Resonanz für musikalisches Spiel. Aber: Um wirklich laut zu werden, muss man sich jetzt ziemlich kräftig ins Zeug legen. Wer sachte trommelt bekommt wirklich nur eine sanfte Antwort. Das Spielgefühl der Felle gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich finde das Feedback bzw. Rebound sehr realistisch, muss aber dazu sagen, dass ich als Anfänger das nicht so richtig gut beurteilen kann, da ich einfach noch nicht viele Felle bespielt habe. Das Anbringen der Felle ging so einfach wie bei jedem anderen Fell. Auch sie müssen anschließend gespannt werden, damit der Sound optimal rüber kommt. Ansonsten einfach Abschrauben der alten Felle, neue drauf, festschrauben, fertig. Das heißt aber auch, dass man nicht mal eben die Felle tauschen kann wie bei anderen Lösungen zur Geräuschreduzierung. Und, in diesem Set sind keine Dämpfungen für die Becken bzw. die HiHat dabei. Die kauft man entweder getrennt oder bestellt gleich das größere Set. Ich hatte das Glück dieses wunderbare Set hier im Amazon-Retourenkauf für den halben Preis zu bekommen. Das hat sich total gelohnt. Die Felle sahen aus wie neu, nur der Karton war etwas in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden. Dabei ist der Karton ganz wichtig: da kann man seine Original-Felle prima drin aufbewahren, wenn man sonst keine Hüllen besitzt. Alles in allem möchte ich diesem Set hier 5 Sterne geben. Ich bin total begeistert und kann mir ein Schlagzeug in meiner Wohnung ohne die Evans dB One Felle gar nicht mehr vorstellen.
