Optically Great/Serious Compromise Found!
There's nothing wrong with the scope itself, it's a brilliant piece of kit, accessories are poor and need chucking ASAP. I have discovered a problem with design however, the plastic moulding at the rear of the 'scope hides some pretty poor design decisions...if you take it off you will discover that the eyepiece holder (with it's poorly positioned thumbscrew that doesn't line up with the safety grooves on better quality parts) is not attached to the focuser tube! There's a perfectly usable thread on the end of that tube but instead the poor quality (very shiny inside and that thumbscrew issue!) eyepiece holder is held by a retainer on the inside and "floats" roughly around the right area. I've stripped mine off, using tube rings to mount and luckily I don't need the finderscope mount with my Rigel.However the thread that's exposed is fussy about what will screw on there, I've managed to fit an eyepiece holder but I'm not happy with the original design compromises. Now with a solid attached eyepiece holder I can properly enjoy the views but had I known about this I might not have bought the telescope.I'm returning this to it's original 4 star rating, after completion of the mods it's a brilliant telescope, I've just found my first DSO and I'm once again very happy with it. I realise most people wouldn't even notice the fault but I wanted to put it up here for those that it might affect.

Excellent telescope pour un prix raisonnable . Pour l instant j ai observe la lune et c est net et sans aberration

Excellent grab and go telescope but warning it is not an universal telescope
This telescope is a very good grab and go telescope. However I should warn you. This is not an all round performer telescope. The Aperture ratio is 14. That means it is a very good solar system telescope and is not for bright and wide views of the Milky way.The provided eyepiece Bresser Superplossl is a good eyepiece. You can complement it with a short focal lenght eyepiece of 10 mm.I recommend if you want to take the maximum of the telescope to get a good planetary eyepiece.I can recommend an orthoscopic planetary eyepiece. e.g. Baader Planetarium Classic Ortho 10mm would be a a good choice.By this you can maximize the strenght of the telescope.Keep in mind that as the aperture ratio is 14 all eyepieces even the cheap are going to perform very well. You can buy the cheap wide view eyepieces they are going to perform well.As the Resolving capacity is 1,15 that means that practically almost all the night you can get the best you can from the sky. The reason is that in normal urban conditions the atmospere rarely allows you less that 1 arc second.However you should know that this is OTA and there is not a linking mecanism for tripod. You need to buy it separately if you want to connect the scope to a photo tripod.I give 5 stars because nothing can beat this telescope in this price range. 100 mm of aperture for this price is a very good deal for a Maksutov telescope. The optics are excellent.And if you want to complement this scope you can buy for example 20x80 binoculars, that you can mount on the same photo tripod.In that way you will have an excellent grab and go setup.

La pupilla di uscita risulta essere molto piccola.Carenza di istruzioni, a cosa serve la pistra laterale ?LA MARCA NON E' QUELLA PROPOSTA.
