Check the powder coat for chips.
They're decently strong and well made. Mine had the powder coat chipped in the package so I had to touch up with paint. Their site does not have an install video for the 1st gen tacoma. I found it better to heat the cowl and close the hood to shape it with brackets instead of cutting as they suggest in the paper instructions.

Great product!
These brackets also fit 3rd generation 4Runners (1996-2002), and install super easy and look great. Well made, I have no complaints whatsoever.I've got these brackets paired with a set of House Tuning 30w spot pattern pods.
