New to Japanese style notebooks. They are great!
This is the A5 sized notebook. Paper sizes in other countries are mostly standardized. This is a smaller size, about half the size of a U.S. letter paper sheet. It makes it great for a more portable notebook. The binding is super cool with 20 rings that really secure the paper. Adjusting your printer to use A5 size paper allows you to print on blank pages which you can get as refills. Moving pages around is super easy. I took it on a two week trip and it performed flawlessly.

Very cute, good quality, and the perfect size. Only complaint is that it’s not easy to hole punch your own paper because the holes are specific and vary in size.

Durable and Reliable
I trust this with all my work. It is very convenient to carry in different bags. The binder clips opens up very easy but still holds everything inside perfectly.

Japanese stationary is the way to go!
I got introduced to the wonders of Japanese stationary when I was living in Japan. I teach now, and basically, I got tired of my binders falling apart after only a semester or two of use, so I decided to go back to Japanese-made products. Compared to the stuff sold in the US, it is so much more durable and dependable. I’ve been using this one since nearly the start of this academic year to keep a daily planner and it still looks almost new. Now, there’s one big caveat here, and that’s the rings. If you want to put in your own class rosters, syllabus, readings, or whatever (as opposed to buying pre-punched paper), you will need to buy a Japanese hole punch as well. Now, the 20 rings will do a much better job preventing wear and tear to the pages you insert, but I could understand if someone doesn’t want to buy a $30 hole puncher to accompany a much cheaper binder.

Great System
My daughter is a fan of anything Japanese. I bought her this for school and she has the other sizes and uses them exclusively. She made a calendar with this size to help her keep track of assignments, etc.

Broken rings
Mine came in today and it was broken. I can’t get the rings to open fully.
