Easy to install and worked perfectly
I'm not as handy with tools as I should be but caught a YouTube vid on how to do the replacement and it really is easy enough that anyone could do it. My aquatic "big trak" (if you know, you know) now works perfectly.

Part of the spring tune up for the Baracuda MX8/MX6 RECOMMENDED
Revitalized my MX8 very easy to install OEM part, fixed slow running MX8, part of a spring tune up. Do not forget to get the new tracks also, they wear out in one season and are critical to fast climbing. 2PK Zodiac Baracuda MX8/MX6 Swimming pool Cleaner Wheel Track Tire R0526100 The old ones did not look so bad, but was trying to speed it up and went with these as a last resort. When I took the old ones off they looked ok, but on closed inspection they were showing rounded off cogs, and a track on one side had a tear. So long story short.....the new tracks did make an improvement on the MX8 speed, and climbing ability, well worth the cost. More importantly now it will climb the wall to the top and clean the water line. This is the first thing to replace when trying to fix MX6/8 problems. The cogs on the inside of the belt are very important to the smooth operation, worn or missing cogs makes the unit run poorly. See pix. Worked like a charm, the sweeper is back to normal operation.
The original part only lasted 9 months, hopefully, I don't have to replace it every 9 months.

Buy original part
I bought a knock off brand that didn't last long or work well. I decided to buy the official product. I Installed it today, and the difference is night and day with movement and climbing walls.

Fits Mx8 Perfectly!
This part fit the MX8 Elite perfectly! It was very easy to install. You unscrew the top holder and simply set this in place. Then screw the cover back on. Of course you have to insert the gear shafts on both sides first before you install this. My cleaner is working like new again!

Just what I needed
The engine on my MX8 wasn't working properly and needed to be replaced. I was happy that this was a genuine Barracuda product. It installed easily and made my MX8 working properly again.
