Gentlestache 5 Inch Blade Knife Sheath, Horizontal & Vertical Carry, Quick Access, Black Leather Knife Holster

Leather is a little soft, but overall it seems well made. Looks good, works as intended and fits the knife that was made by a friend. Overall very nice sheath.

This is a beautiful sheath, real leather, soft and good quality; sheath is thick, but bulky, appears to be stitched well. Will be ordering another one for second knife.

This is a nice sheath. I'm not sure if the sheath includes a welt around the seam. The leather may be a little on the thin side, but I think it is excellent for the price. 4 Inch: It fits the Knafs Lulu almost perfectly. The only issue with the fit is that the retaining loop is just a hair too large and doesn't secure the knife. This may not matter to you, but I want to carry the Lulu horizontal, so I want a little more security. I resolved this by adding a paracord lanyard to the knife and wrapping the loop around the handle and the lanyard. This added just enough extra girth to secure the knife. 5 Inch: Good fit for the ESEE 4. I have contoured handles on my knife and the retaining loop is a bit tight and hard to snap closed, but that should loosen up with time as the leather will stretch a bit.

Was not sure about this knife sheath when I ordered it, but for the price it seemed to be worth a try. It is very well made and the type of double stitching will make it last. It is a tight fit around the handle strap for the Gerber Strongarm, but a tight fit is way better than a loose fit. The way the sheath is designed, it does not contact the sharp knife edge when placed inside. The side carry feature works well for walking; not so sure about how it will work sitting in a car, but plan to give it a try. Great product for the price.

The leather sheath could be worn at a horizontal position with my Uncle Henry Staglon Fixed-Blade Knife. But with one leather strap the weight of the handle would cause the knife and sheath to dip. Furthermore, the one strap would hang loosely from my belt, wearing it at the "5 - 6 o'clock position." When getting into the driver's seat of my car, the handle would frequently get caught into the side of the seat, and then sheathed blade would jab into my back. When worn at the left handed position in the "7-8 o'clock position," the sheathed blade would get caught by the side of the seat. I have yet to try to wear it in the front, "10 o'clock position," or "2 o'clock position," but I afraid it would too high profile and scare people. To summarize, the sheath is too flimsy and does not "hug" my belt compared to my vertical phone holster (Gentlestache Leather Cell Phone Holster with Belt Clip, Universal Pouch Large Phone). Or my horizontal phone holster (Topstache Leather Phone Holster with Belt Loop, Magnetic Closure Cell Phone Pouch Card Holder Wallet). Great value for the money. This is a nice little sheath and fits my knife real well. Good overall quality and it looks great. I was very happy with this purchase.

It would be great if the snap loop was long enough to actually go around the handle of the knife to snap it securely in place. Sure, it’ll fit around a thin pinkey finger sized circumference, but what sheath knife has a handle that small?
