CURT58130 Vehicle-Side 6-Pin Round Trailer Wiring Harness Socket

super good price for this item compared to the competition.

It worked for install on my tow vehicle, but feels very cheaply made. Wish I had of researched and found a little heavier duty product.

Compared to other units this has brass pins with easy to grip flat blade/Philips screws. I recommend this Curt unit made in Tiwian not mainland China. Quality but inexpensive. Ad misstates as a splice in; but actually is the usual trim off insulation, place in the end of pin and tighten screws. Best I have found.

I had this same type of socket on my truck’s front bumper for flat towing but the connection on the passenger signal kept failing. My original socket came with the front tow bar kit made by a different manufacturer. The pins on this socket are stronger, the screws to hold the wires are larger and both the screws and pins are made of better metal. Definitely recommend this product, i bought 2 because i like to prepare for the worst and it’s a small part.

I needed this to set up a new vehicle to be towed behind my motorhome. This Curt part is $20 cheaper than the same thing from Roadmaster. The quality is just as good.

Great price so I ordered 2 to have a spare. They fit a blue ox frame perfectly... which requires a 3 inch spread between bolt holes. The metal ones are too narrow. Easy to wire and install. Just be carefull as they will easily break it you drive into something.

The plug comes with screw terminals which make connection to a wire harness very easy. The rear rubber dust cap also covers the connections to keep them dry and free of dirt.
