How deep does it work?

you will have to refer to the owners manual but it works great at 12 feet for me.

Is there a method or formula for determining maximum length of air runs, along with depth and number of runs? For (HiBlow 200)!

Hello Scjirik, Thanks for asking! The answer to the best pump can vary with pond size, shape, depth, and the length of lines you are planning to run. Exceeding 10-12' depths with the HP-200 is not recommended. Greater length of lines would require larger inner diameters of airline to avoid excessive back pressure on the pump diaphragms. Is the discharge 3/8" or 5/8" for the HiBlow hp200??

Have a pond about 1/2 acre round in diameter, about 15' deep in center. Will this pump work and what accessories do you need?

Hello Carol, Hiblow recommends that these pumps be used at a Max depth of 10' feet. While you may get away with 12' or 15' you may also be putting substantial backpressure on the pump and its components. Potentially causing failure to the diffusers and adding additional replacement of the diaphragm. The lengths of airlines are also to take into consideration. The HP series pumps are great units but using at a15' depth may void warranty. I would double check your depth to make sure it is accurate and also consider a deep water air pump. The most popular Aeration Compressor for ponds over 12’ in depth is by far the Rocking Piston Compressor. These can handle much deeper ponds, some of them can even handle up to 30’ depths.
