Excellent product for linear drains
Really like this subdrain. Sturdy, durable, and very close tolerances to the 2" stainless drain port I used this for. Highly recommend this product. Used this for a master bathroom shower install in conjunction with a linear drain. Works flawlessly.

Has weep holes, designed for traditional shower pan construction
This hub has weep holes, which do make it into the inner drain because the inner diameter of the upper part is larger than the ID of the lower part. The presence of the weep holes means this drain is designed to be used with a rubber membrane between 2 layers of mud, and not for use with liquid topical membrane (unless using the divot method). Works well with the Neodrain linear drains.

Did what it does
The tile guy installed this in my shower before he started the floor pan. So I can't say how easy it was but it worked and the shower is tiled.

Does have weep channels but not holes.
This product does have channels on the inner ring. I included 2 pictures so you can see the under side of the Ring and with it installed on the main ring. I haven't yet put the pan liner in yet but you can you the channel. Hope this helps other
