I have bought this steamer three times now, every once in a while I’ll evaporate water in the pot and in turn the steamer is ruined sadly but the steamer itself is the best I’ve ever used. Fits a ton of vegetables, stores easy. Harder to clean like any strainer type thing easiest to toss in dishwasher vs hand clean.

A definite space saver! This is not meant for microwave steaming, and that wasn't spelled out in the description on the Amazon site. When I realized that it is designed to be inserted in a pot with a few inches of boiling water, I was disappointed. I tried it with some collard greens, however, and was favorably impressed with the results. It functions like any other steamer insert, but it is collapsable and therefore stores well in limited spaces.It fits in large and medium sized pots, and is dishwasher safe for cleanup.

Gave it to my daughter for her birthday at her request. I have a different brand if this, but same concept. Works great in microwave over a glass bowl of water. Vegetables come out perfect every time. I don't like to use the steam bags of frozen vegetables because you should not put plastic in microwave do to all the chemicals that leach into your food from the plastic heating up, so this is a safer alternative.

I love Likue products and thought I was buying a microwave steamer but this is a pot insert with a perforated bottom. Poor advertising. Have to send it back.

I have many different kind of steamers over the years. Never been satisfied until I came across this. It fits tightly over the pot and the cover is also tight. The steaming can be done with very low heat. So it is like a combination of slow cooking and steaming, the healthiest way to cook food. Just a fantastic product, well worth its price.

great product, durable and let's you steam things with minimal water. Washes easily and collapses to a 2 inch tall footprint.

Love this steamer. The handles on this steamer make it easy to lift out of the pan without spilling. It also collapses for storage and the price was less than half of those found in upscale gourmet stores. Bought an extra to have a spare or share.

It works both as a steamer and a colander. However, as instructed, I washed prior to first use, I could still taste a slightly "off" aftertaste in the cauliflower I steamed in the first batch. I'll try again - and hopefully won't experience the same issue.

The size pans it's designed to fit:The product description states the item diameter but not the size pans it's designed to fit.The manufacturer's own website didn't say either - it took phoning the Manufacturer in Spain who had to call me back; I've received the item and the box says Fits pots 20 to 23cm (in inches that's 7.8”; to 9”).The steamer is about 23cm wide at the top and tapers narrower to a little over 16cm at the bottom: so it comfortably sits on it's narrowing section in an 18cm pan but I think it would be too big for a 16cm pan.Material:Silicone - it passes the pinch-test; no white appears when you pinch the silicone material, if it did that would be a sign of plastic additives, none were found.Steaming:The steam is sealed at the pan edges so goes through the food. There is slight steam leakage through the lid seal but this is understandable. If you need a complete seal maybe a pressure cooker may suit your needs better.The material is quite flexible so it’s two hand holds are useful when lifting it off the hot pan.Eating:A really useful bit is the steamer can sit on the upside-down lid so any steaming water dripping out the holes is contained by the dome-shaped lid. To save washing up I eat out of mine using a suitably-sized silicone spoon (rather than a fork for e.g.) to avoid risking damage to the silicone steamer.Cleaning: quick & easy to clean. I let it drip dry into the pan ready to go.

I am a newbie to steaming, but this great steamer does the job perfectly. It is larger than I anticipated (but what will hold a lot will hold a little) and once I found the right pan to fit I was happy. I particularly wanted a steamer that had a lid, which was surprisingly hard to find.It remains rigid enough for you to hold it by the two grippy side handles. It would comfortably steam enough veg for four portions and maybe even six depending on how much veg you eat! It cooked perfectly, there was no silicone 'taste' to the food and it washed well in the dishwasher.

Cannot get enough of Leque products ..this is Fantastic for steaming a large quanity
