Works AMAZING on my Sony ZV-1F Vlogging Camera! Great for filtering out background wind and noise.
This microphone is exactly what I needed and I was looking for my Sony ZV-1F Vlogging Camera. Not only is it the smallest shotgun microphone I found for my camera, which is exactly what I wanted, but it is also easy to set up. The microphone on my camera is amazing, but I was having issues with it picking up wind when it was very windy outside and this microphone with the deadcat that comes with it helps with the wind in the background SOO well. Not only is it great at filtering out most of the wind, but the microphone's sound quality is amazing. It sounds like I am wearing a microphone on me as I speak, that is how clear the sound is. I highly recommend this microphone. It is totally worth the investment.

Night and day difference vs onboard mic
I've read that the Sony mic on the ZV-1 is pretty good. But compared with this, it's night and day. I like that this mic is smaller than the RØDE mics that are fairly common. I like that it doesn't require a cable and works on the hot shoe. Best of all, it sounds as professional as I am likely to ever care about.

Unbelievable Microphone
I am a professional singer and I own a music academy. I recently upgraded my camera to a Sony ZV-E10 for better quality content for my online educational courses. The internal mic was no where near good enough for music lessons - so I took a shot on this mic hoping to just have it for delivering speeches. I tested it by singing an Adele song, and listening back I actually cried a little. This mic picked up every biological movement of my mouth I intentionally use to express myself vocally. For example - using my tongue muscles stronger in sections to produce clearer and more aggressive articulations - dramatic breathing for vocal phrase emphasis - and global attacks (intentional vocal cracks). It picked up the sublet nuisances of my soft breathy tones, supported my lower Registers, and was able to handle my loud Belting range with ease. I've worked in famous studios with $40,000 microphones for recordings - and while a sound engineer would have to gain in and adjust some of the gains and brightness in this mic - I would feel confident singing without an external microphone designed for singers - and just into this camera. Whoever designed this is brilliant, thank you!

Handling Noise Ruins Audio
The handling noise from the internal mount ruins the quality of the sound. The mic is so flimsy that even panning with the camera on a tripod will cause rattling that will be picked up by the mic. At over $150 this is ridiculous

Sound is CRISP and Easy to Set up on Camera
The microphone is easy to set up and sounds very good. The mic sound is CRISP. Very loud, very clear. 10/10 Recommend.

No worrying about cables. plug it in and stays still. it doesn't feel big even with deadcat on. This mic is a must buy for inexperience vloggers with Sony Camera APS-C or Full frame.

This is not an upgrade over most camera's built in mics. Very high self noise, poor shotgun effective, and prone to interference. Very expensive for a poor result. Get a proper shotgun such as the very excellent Sennheiser MKE 600 for similar money.
