Installation/Use: The included batteries were easy to install. The panel on the back slides off and the included batteries popped right in. Turning the dial powers the unit on. I tested several of the functions, and the device is simple to use. Dislikes: Accuracy of AC current measurements. Likes: Digital display. AC current. AC/DC voltage. Resistance. Frequency. Accuracy of voltage measurements.. Improvements: Improved accuracy of AC current measurements.. Rundown: The unit is compact and comes with many useful attachments, modes, and features, including the convenient carrying case. I tested several of the different modes, including AC current, AC/DC voltage, AC/DC resistance, and frequency. The AC/DC voltage, AC/DC resistance, and frequency measurements all correlate very high with the control. I did notice that the AC current measurements were reading low, between 10% and 20% when compared to the control. I am really pleased with everything that you get with this purchase. I think that my new ANENG digital clamp multimeter is my new go to tool for testing audio, electronics, and electricity. My-Star Criteria 1-Star. This product is broken or does not work. Items will be returned or discarded. I do NOT recommend it. 2-Stars. This product works but does not get the job done. It is not worth it and I will have to use another item. I would probably not recommend this item. 3-Stars. The product works and gets the job done. I will use it occasionally and would recommend it, but there’s definitely better out there. 4-Stars.The product works well and gets the job done well. I am a retired HVAC tech specializing in electrical control design. I used Fluke meters as their accuracy was spot on but their price was prohibitive for the average homeowner. If you're looking for a decent meter for home use, this meter fits the bill perfectly. It may not be "dead on" accurate, or built for hard, everyday use but for the price it's a great meter. Checking your house voltage? Who cares if it's off a volt. Capacitance? Good enough for non-professional use. If you need a tough, super accurate meter for daily precision work, look elsewhere and pay 15 times the price. If you need a generally accurate meter for occasional use around the house, you can't beat this for the price. I expect it to last a few years (and I do use it often) and will consider it disposable when it stops working. Don't physically abuse it and it will give you a tremendous return on investment.

It looks pretty hot and it’s got all kinds of toys to hook up to and it’s got the power clip that you can not get shocked by so it looks like it’s a great tool. I haven’t really used it much but it’s nice. Thank you.

Although it works in most situations I tried it, it is somewhat cheaply made. The unit itself changes range automatically so it is difficult to determine 1 volt or 10 volts or .1 volt. The cables supplied, while numerous, are also hastily assembled and the clamp fell off one the first time I used it. The cable variety is handy as they can clamp one, for negative, and probe a point for positive. Case is too small to enclose all the cables and put it away. Spend a little more and buy better.
