Sturdy and simple
These things are really cool. They seem sturdy, and I love the button mechanism to adjust the mounting plate. I bought a pair of these to hold Godox AD200 flashes when I need a low angle, and they hold the flashes pretty securely with no sign of drooping. Took me a second to figure out how to open the legs, but they just rotate out sideways. (It's actually pretty clever!) There's even a set of female threads on the underside of the screw plate for mounting something I haven't quite figured out yet. I'd buy these again if I lost them.

Loved it while it lasted
I loved this little guy! It was a wonderful addition to my photography collection! I used it to put my sport camera on to video and get pictures of the little rabbits and critters in my yard! However, someone (me) forgot to get it one day when she collected her cameras, and since it's not very big, its life came to a painful end when the lawnmower ran over it. It was strong, sturdy, the perfect size for what I wanted it for. However, it was no match for a lawnmower. Evil evil lawnmowers! I highly recommend it! I do not recommend running over it with your lawnmower. It will not last!

Pretty good for the money
It's plastic and I would prefer it was metal. That being said it's probably as good as you can get under $10. It has rubber non-skid feet and a solid 3 legged design. It's not real obvious from the description but it has a ratcheting system to set the vertical angle and it works pretty well. It holds well with my D7100 and 18-300 lens. The only drawback would be that you are limited to the pre-set angles (although you could prop it up to attain something different). Small, solid and cheap- what else can you ask for?

Felt like cheap plastic when first held
Felt like cheap plastic when first held, and well it does make it very lightweight. Feels nice holding it as a gun style but would get bothersome after a while with a sony Alpha6000 and LED light shoe-mounted because that is the limit of what it can hold. when opened up the camera can not mount with the full support of the base as it is fully screwed down, it is not in parallel to the base causing unsteadiness if there are any vibrations to the surface it is sitting on. It does work well with a cell phone mount. lightweight and easy to point shoot or vlog with. So that would be the only reason i'm keeping this.

Works great...good for still shots and creates 'more steady' walking videos..excellent price too.
I hike a lot and take footage using a Canon T5i, an Olympus TG-something toughcam and a GoPro knock-off (SJ6000 or something like that). With all the cameras, holding them, setting them up for a still shot, etc took time and the walking footage was very shaky. This mount connects to the camera easily...it has a knob for turning the 1/4"/20 thread that goes through the mount so you don't have to spin your camera around and around to attach it to the mount. The tripod legs are awesome for easy still shots and once you get the hang of adjusting the 'tilt' of the camera (which is easy too), this stand/handle works great.

Seemed great, but broke very quickly
This seemed like a great, well designed tripod/grip, but it broke after using just three times with a GoPro Hero 5 (which is not a DSLR). The head literally cracked in half! I'm assuming it was from tightening the screw that attaches it to the camera, but I'm not going to use any of my cameras on any tripod without that screw being well tightened. It's not like I torqued it on with a lug wrench or something -- I simply finger tightened it so the camera was snug on the head and not moving around. I would never trust this flimsy tripod with any camera bigger than a GoPro. Actually, I wouldn't even trust it with my GoPro anymore. Looking for a new mini-tripod at the moment.

Best deal in town :)
I previously purchased a slightly different version of this mini tripod. At the time it was the only one of this design I found available. I was intending to buy another, however it was listed out of stock. I saw this one offered and it was less expensive and looked like the same design in concept. I decided for the money (about half the price) to give it a try. WOW... This one is more ridged, has less play (wobble) when used as a grip and more sturdy when used as a tripod. Also, the other one (when used as a tripod did not maintain level (slightly tilted the camera) so I needed to shim the right side back leg to get the camera level. I will tell you I bought 3 of those and they were all the same, so it's not that I just got a bad one. I bought two of these (they are also the same) camera stays level. I also, mounted a camera and lens that was far heavier than the spec said was max weight and It held the camera level and still and no wobble in the grip. I am going to buy a couple more before everyone finds out and the price goes up... hmmm.. the truth if the price went up I would still buy this one.
