These fit like a glove in a 2010 RAV4 base. I used all 4 of them for my car and they made hanging new aftermarket speakers a breeze. They even have a perfectly shaped cutout to drop a new harness in to make it seamless. They clearly work with any size between 6-6.75”, and the RAV4 had an interesting three hole set up. That was no problem for these adaptors though. The quality is very good too, thick plastic. The kits come with hardware which made installing them simple. The value is pretty good, and they were definitely compatible with kicker and jbl speakers. I’d recommend these to anyone trying to hang their speakers!

Awesome fitment for a 01-05 lexus is300!! snap two skinny outer tabs and all inner tabs to fit your 6.5” speakers. i went with some Orion cobalt cb653! Also installed a ring of insulation behind the adapter & inside the doors for noise cancellation and better audio👌

I used this product to upgrade my door speakers in my 2012 Toyota Corolla LE with JBL’s Infinity speakers. They worked great and my car sounds amazing. It was fairly easy to install, however the nuts that came with the bolts didn’t fit, which was really weird so be prepared to have separate screws if necessary. I don’t know if mine was just a fluke, but it would have been quite annoying if I hadn’t had my own replacements available. Other than that strange mishap, they worked great!

I purchased a set of Kenwood Component 6 1/2" speakers to replace the OEM set in the rear doors of my 2018 Tundra Crewmax. The mounting brackets that came with the speakers didn't work, so I purchased a set of Metra 82-8148 adapters. They arrived this morning, and my Kenwoods are now nestled snuggly in the the doors where I wanted them. No drilling, dremeling or modification required. From the outside, they look like a stock installation.

The Metra 82-8148 6" to 6.75" Speaker Adapters worked exactly as expected. They fit securely, lined up well with the factory holes, and made the install quick and hassle-free. The material feels solid, and there were no rattles or issues after mounting the speakers. Great little accessory that makes the upgrade process smoother.

2025 Tacoma No-JBL Rear door speakers, used with Kicker CS 6.5", perfect fit. The plastic is strong and will take to drilling and you can hold it firm and cut if necessary. I already had the 6.5" speakers from another car and was installing it in the new Tacoma. This adapter can be matched with your car via the metra website to be sure it will fit, check their website to see if this is the adapter for you. I did make two small changes to the adapter, I enlarged the hole for the wire to pass through. This allowed the connector to sit nicely without dangling in the door cavity. I also needed to cut off one of the extra mounting tabs facing the outside edge of the door to get the door panel back on. Since this adapter is made to fit many vehicles, sometimes that needs to happen. I used a small saw to score the plastic then just bend and snap. My aftermarket speaker is much more clear than the factory paper cone with small magnet. Don't forget your speaker adapters if you're re-using factory wires.

Bracket itself is fine. The bolts and screws that come with it are total garbage. The nuts do not fit the bolts properly and will cross thread very easily. They also will not hold for long. I had to find alternative bolts and nuts. It would also be nice if the adaptors came with screws to attach the speakers. I also had to find those and the must not be longer than the adaptor.

I read on another site that this fits certain Subaru models, including my 2016 Outback (with Harmon Kardon audio). Fit my car perfectly, only works for the rear doors! Install was very easy, great product
