This is not Airtight ...so don't buy it for Food items ..

Don't waste your money
These look like similar products for storing bulk grains but the price was much cheaper. However, you get what you pay for. There is no seal around the perimeter of the lid so it does not allow for an airtight closure meaning your food products can be exposed to insects, moisture, and anything else. The part of the lid that opens for scooping barely snaps closed at all. Your food will not stay fresh.
