Use it all the time to type for work. It’s not perfect ergonomics, but it’s way better than just a lap! Has held up in the heat of my car just fine.

This fits my steering wheel well and is stable enough to hold my food. Don't knock it too much otherwise it will move but if you just put your food on it, or in my case makeup, it works very well

So the tray is a very hard and durable plastic. I think it's a good product. The fitment on my steering wheel isn't GREAT, but it will sit still if you don't rest your hands on it or make one side way heavier than the other. If the slot for the steering wheel were a little more ergonomic, it could be better. But maybe then it would droop forward.. anyways, not bad, 4 stars.

Wow, this is giving off a strong and super annoying chemical smell that is filling my car and making me headachy. I’ve bought one of these before and had it at least a couple years no problem. I damaged it by mistake so had to get a new one. This looks identical except the texture of the plastic is slightly different. My guess they used a different plastic. Same thing is going on with most of the green trash bags—the new plastic compositions are super chemical smelling. I gave this product one star for this issue. Otherwise this is a 5 star item. Nobody wants a headache from a product they buy. Sorry. I got to find a way to try and get this smell out. Time is money and I know it’s gonna take a few different try’s with different methods to TRY and hopefully leach some of the chemical smell out. I’ve had this a few weeks now so it should not smell anymore of the smell was going to come out by itself.

3-1-20I'm reviewing the Lightter Wheelmate Car Table. Simply put, this did not fit well on my truck's steering wheel. I wanted it to work, but it seemed the cutout wasn't exactly right, that it may need to be deeper?I tried attaching this thing to my wheel, in a variety of different positions, including the steering wheel being clocked or rotated in different positions. No go. I work from my vehicle, so filling out work orders from this "table" seemed like a great idea. This brand seemed to be the most cost effective of all the ones I saw, and because of the low price, I didn't bother returning, even after finding out it didn't fit on this vehicle.I will try this on a few of the other vehicles I own, just to see if it is just an issue with this particular steering wheel or not, but I have not been in a hurry to do so, since the intention was to use it in the work vehicle.I do like the construction. It is made of plastic, like the plastic used in blow molded cases for tools. It has 2 sides to it, 1 for the scribing or writing along with a slot for a pen or pencil, and the other side for eating, which I just don't do. I don't like to eat out of my vehicles, unless it's outside on the tailgate or someplace it's easy to clean up. An area I don't care if I drop crumbs or if a drink were to accidentally spill.I would not recommend this table at this point. I will update once I try this product on the other vehicles. The vehicle I intended to use it on was an 86 S10 Pickup, the work vehicle in which this product did not work on.***UPDATE***4-15-20I had to change the rating from a 1 to a 3, because this does in fact work on 1 of my other vehicles. The 2000 Mercury Sable, equivalent to a Taurus. I do have trouble getting in on, because of the steering wheel cover, but nothing too difficult. I think it makes it a more secure fit. I install it and tilt the wheel down... which then levels the "table". Works on both table sides. I'm still frustrated that I couldn't use it on the vehicle I purchased it for. I will try a few more vehicles and update.

Actually fit my steering wheel when others did not. The wheel just has to be upside down.
