The ceiling light was used and a closet. It is not too bright or harsh. Easy to mount with the transformer having to be pushed into the electrical box are mounted somewhere. I did have a switch in the closet to turn it on and off as for there isn't a switch in the light

We bought three of these lights to replace our pantry light in the kitchen and our two master bedroom closet lights. They installed very easily, but you'll need to use your own plastic wire nuts, as the ones that come with the light are too small for American wiring. They have super bright, white LEDs that are well distributed inside the translucent dome for great, uniform light coverage. They look very nice and the quality of the parts and manufacturing is excellent. We plan to buy more for our other closets and for our garage.

Bolts included to secure cover to base bracket were too short too span both and drilled holes in bracket were too small too accept their width. Had to use screws from my toolbox to make it work. Light source is bright and works well over kitchen sink.

Update, unit has been in my pantry for 6 hours. Now it will not turn on. DO NOT BUY. Installed in pantry with a 10 foot (3 meter) ceiling. The light is bright, but it never turns off by itself. However, it does searve as a value light fixture where limited styling is acceptable.

I got this thinking I would get to install it sometime over the weekend. I thought I would just open it up and look at it. when I did I thought wow, there's nothing to it. I had to install it to see how it would work. It was fast and easy, I have never worked with electricity before so this was the perfect fist experience. The little light is awesome, super bright. It's so funny I have been putting off this project for 11/2 years because I didn't want to replace a florescent light that went bad in the laundry room. I'm so glad I decided to switch over to LED lighting.

The light is very small, I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. That's ok, but what wasn't was that the bracket that came with it didn't fit a standard ceiling electrical outlet box. The mounting holes on the bracket were too far apart. I had to measure and drill extra holes. Also, the light itself is extremely harsh. This is NOT a soft light, be aware of that. I gave 1 star for ease of installation because of the crappy bracket. It's bright; harsh, but bright, so it got 5 stars and 5 stars for value because it performs well.

This light is perfect for my linen closet. We mounted it vertical on the wall. We don’t use the remote control. My hubby wired it direct so it would turn on with the switch that we already had. The fixture we had before was too big and I could barely get anything off the top shelf, this solved my problem. It’s so much brighter than the old light also. He did have some problems installing it but I think it was “him”, not the light.

Had a very narrow strip of drywall above a staircase and needed to replace an old screw in base (no cover). This light did the trick very nicely. Its a very "white" light at 5000K so if you are looking for a warmer yellowish cast - don't use this.
