This nighttime cold and flu medicine works just as well as the name brand for taking the edge off symptoms so you can actually rest. Ease of use is straightforward: the bottle pours cleanly, the dosage cap is clearly marked, and the texture is smooth, not syrupy or overly thick. It’s simple to take right before bed. The smell and taste are exactly what you’d expect from a cherry nighttime medication — an artificial cherry scent that reminds me of cherry hard candy. Not amazing, not terrible, just standard and easy enough to get down. Amazon lists the inactive ingredients right on the label, and while it’s still an over-the-counter medicine, it doesn’t have any odd fragrances or menthol added. It’s the typical mix you’d expect from nighttime formulas — nothing harsh-smelling or overwhelming. One thing to note: this version doesn’t include a nasal decongestant. If you primarily have a runny or congested nose, look for the Severe version. But for nighttime aches, fever, cough, and general “I feel terrible” symptoms, this works exactly the way it should. For the price, it’s great to keep on hand for cold and flu season.
