Ordered one, got 2 sent instead!
Came in really good condition, nice sized traps, looks healthy. Soil medium (sphagnum moss) was VERY nice quality. Had to order a little more sphagnum in order to have enough to plant the second VFT.... which the seller sent for free anyway, so no complaints there! Very clear instructions and a link to an instructional video on YouTube if that isn't clear enough. If they don't live, I have nobody to blame but myself.Got 2 plants for the price of one! I can't say that'll happen for EVERYONE though. What more do you want?Edit: I may be mistaken, but the second one which originally had very tiny traps now has HUGE traps. Perhaps sent an extra baby B52? I'll take it!

Thrilled with my FLEX
My Flex venus fly trap arrived this afternoon in perfect condition. Beautiful, healthy leaves and stems. Excellent root system, and excellent typed instructions for success in growing a healthy plant. But I forgot to pull the root system apart for airing before planting. I'm sure this will not damage the plant, it may take a litttle longer to bounce back, but it's so healthy I'm not worried about it. I reached out to my Seychelle filter supplier and they said I MUST water with only distilled water. The filtered water has some undesirable minerals that may kill the venus fly trap plants. This supplier is a 10 on my scale. The pictures provided were taken right after I planted. I did soak the moss in the distilled water right in the plastic bag it came in. It made it much easier to set the stem root while wet and the pot was sitting in the glass container with distilled water about 1/3 the way up the pot. I LOVE MY PLANT. And I love joelscarnivorousplants.com.

Cannot contact seller and plants die quickly!
I'm on my second plant from this seller. I returned the first one because it died shortly after delivery. I am very careful and follow all directions. I use distilled water as directed. The plant comes with complete directions and contact information, however the website address cannot be contacted. My second plant is almost dead.

Outstanding product and service
I am by no means a “plant person”, but my son learned about Venus flytraps in school and was extremely motivated to get one. I looked around and did research and was pretty disappointed in “cheaper” options. I decided to go with Joel based on other reviews, and I’m glad I did! Not only do you receive really nice looking flytraps, but you also receive A TON of info on how to take care of it, which I needed. You can tell Joel truly cares about his plants and truly wants you to thrive as a plant owner. He also has really helpful step by step videos. I don’t normally write reviews, but this one deserves it based on customer service alone. Thanks Joel!

Lil' traps are doing so good!
When my traps arrived, they were in a little plastic baggy with a wet paper towel wrapped around the roots, which kept it perfectly preserved during its trip. Inside with the adult flytrap was a baby flytrap! I went ahead and found Joel's youtube channel instead of solely following the written instructions, since I struggle with that personally, and the videos were still plenty to get me going on taking care of the flytraps. I also recommend doing your own research and learning as much as you can about their care! It never hurts to see how different people take care of their traps.I planted the adult and baby separately, careful to make sure that the other pot that I was using that did not come with this order was not going to leech toxic chemicals into the soil and kill my plant. BOTH pots are sitting in a bowl of distilled water, leaving the bowl to be relatively dry sometimes to prevent root rot. My flytraps are being housed indoors in a greenhouse. I spray the top of my greenhouse with distilled water in the morning and sometimes later in the day if the humidity is too low in there. My adult flytrap has been fed successfully once, and the fed trap appears to be reopening! If you're planning on replanting your trap in anything other than the Sphagnum moss, then please make sure you're getting the correct soil with the correct ratios for specifically carnivorous plants! I kept the baby in the Sphagnum moss, but replanted my adult in a better mixture after doing very careful research, and my plant seems to be thriving. I'm sure keeping it in the Sphagnum moss would've been absolutely fine though, according to Joel's instruction.Overall this was a super good transaction and I'm more than happy with my flytraps! Definitely considering buying another flytrap from this shop. ☺️Edit 4/23Flytraps are still thriving! Some green has formed on some of the moss, I'm assuming it's Algae and I'll be removing it as soon as I have replacement Sphagnum.

LOVE!
So first thing to notice, this VFT is a bit pricier than others listed, but trust me, its 100% worth it and necessary. You are getting a high quality plant, with incredibly detailed care instructions which if followed correctly your plant will thrive! Audrey (yes named after THAT plant) has successfully caught two flies so far and as you can see from the picture multiple new traps are growing! I love it!EDIT: added a couple new pics to show her over the past year, she blossomed 7 dainty beautiful little flowers in the spring, and now continues to thrive. Seriously if you follow the instructions the seller gives you, which are easy to understand and very thorough, you will have a great little plant. Still would recommend
