Arai VAS-V Pro Shade System Complete Faceshield Street Motorcycle Helmet Accessories - Tint/One Size

Arai's interesting solution to the dark/clear visor dilemma. Instead of using an internal visor or transition visor, Arai's system uses a secondary visor that sits on top of the main visor and can easily be flipped up or down. And it is effective! Quality is very good, no flexing on the part of the secondary speed at any speed that I've noticed. The only negative I could find is that there is some more audible wind noise with the secondary visor in the up position. Overall, I think this is a good buy for any Arai owner.

Great replacement and better price than store. Advantage of teh dual shade is that you can turn the dark one up in low light or night driving. It can be adjusted such that it does not get caught in the wind when up. If it is too bright, just wear sunglasses alongwith it, but I rarely need to do so. It would be nice if they included the pinlock with it

I love my Arai helmet (Signet X), but hated that they didn't offer a photochromic shield for it. After getting this shield, and using it for a few thousand miles, I don't miss the option. The biggest benefit to me is when the sun is overhead, or I'm travelling in shadows, I can flip up the shield (easily with one hand) to have a completely clear, untinted view. It works like an adventure helmets peak. Shields the eyes but doesn't change the color of your surroundings. It feels well made overall but the eyebrow vents seem a little less positive in action than the standard vents. It isn't enough of an issue to deduct a star from the review though. Another unexpected benefit was getting hit in the face shield by LARGE bug early in a ride hindering vision. I tilted up the shade until I could get it cleaned off at my next fuel stop. I know internal drop-down visors from other manufacturers have convenience, but I don't like the safety compromise from having to remove EPS foam to make room for it. In summary, the shield makes an expensive lid even more expensive, but it is well worth. My first Arai helmet, but won't be my last (hoping this shield will work with future models...)

My previous helmet had a drop-down internal sun shield, but that type of helmet is not Snell approved. I wanted a Snell helmet, and bought an Arai Regent-X which is an excellent helmet. This visor solved the drop-down sun shield issue nicely. It fits perfectly, and accepts the Pinlock insert to prevent fogging (although you have to buy the Pinlock insert separately.) I downgraded it one star because the air vents are a bit crude, and slightly clumsy to open and close. Other than that, it's a very nice visor.

Awesome system!! Only complaint is I wish I could get a longer tinted visor. I love it and have two different colored visors

Good, genuine Arai visor. Thicker than the off-brand visors. Fits as it should, tinted visor ratchets firmly but easily. I feel like it causes some lift at highway speeds when all the way up but tilting it a couple of notches (but still above your eyes) helps. The clear area at bottom when lowered is nice for checking gauges etc. I replaced a photochromic shield that didn’t last long with this one, should have bought this first

Packaged well, legit “Arai” brand product as described. Came in new condition with original packaging. Everything I look for when not buying directly from the brand. I would buy from them again. As for the product itself, I love it. Better option than just a solid tinted option for my needs as I get annoyed swapping visors.

I'm really appreciating this authentic Arai Pro Shade system. The slider brow vents are lame compared to the original vents. However, this is probably due to designing lower profile for the shade add on. The shade portion is good/adequate for bright sun. The convenience of this system and price point is fantastic IMO. If you are reading this review, you are probably seeking pros/cons of this product. Since this is Authentic, Pinlock works perfectly, dimension is perfect. Please note, my review is based on hyper scooter capable of 100 km/hr top speed. Noise is not an issue since I am typically cruising at low speeds. The amazon box package was well packed. The item arrived in perfect shape without being bounce around. If you go with a 3rd party photochromic or OE Arai shade, this will suite your needs. Pro shade system is a setup that works in all lighting situations. Having a dedicated shade visor will force you to open the lid in the late evening, which may not be ideal especially in the cold months of riding. For the price, it's a nice piece of mind that its guaranteed to fit perfectly. I may purchase a 3rd party photochromic down the road. In the meantime, I'm very pleased with the quality of style.

Visor arrived fast, it's the full system i.e. visor with the pulldown visor attached. Delivery only took 4 days from Japan despite Amazon saying ~2 weeks

通勤用に購入。 明るい時間の朝はサンバイザーを下ろし、暗くなった帰りは上げるという使い方です。 この使い方が出来るのは、とても良いです。 3年と少し使いましたが、ノンバイザーシールド(クリア)にサンバイザーが接触する部分に、細かい傷が入ってきましたが、視界には影響なく問題ありません。 サンバイザーの取り付けは、コツを覚えれば問題なしです。 出来れば、ライトスモークのノンバイザーシールドとか、セミスモークの サンバイザーなどを出してくれると、状況に応じて最適な組み合わせが出来ると思います。 写真は、冬の朝日が視界に入る対策に、ミラーのサンバイザーを取り付けている状態です。 朝日対策として、ノーマルのスモークより眩しくなくて良いです。

OEM Arai, super produit

久しぶりに購入しましたが、まぶしさ対策としては有ると無いとじゃ大違いですね！ 以前使用してた物とは若干形が変更されているみたいで、バイザーを上げて走っている時の風切り音が結構静かになっている気がします。 ただ、エアシャッターは以前のモデルの方が操作しやすかったです！ 一番の難点は値段かなぁ？
