Excellent 8 lb. and 12 lb. weighted vests
This vest is exactly what I wanted - the 8 lb. weight is perfect for a beginner like me, and I like the style of this vest (slip over the head) - I didn't see any other 8 lb. vests in this style. Also, unlike all of the other vests that I researched on Amazon, this vest does NOT smell in any way whatsoever and I didn't need to give any time at all to air out before I could wear it. The material seems very durable and the straps on the side allow me to easily tighten up or loosen the fit around my waist - all in all, a great product! (I also ordered the 12 lb vest and plan to graduate to it in a few weeks. It's a different style, but this vest has no odor whatsoever, unlike apparently the weighted vests from other vendors offering similar vests on Amazon.)

Eight pounds is definitely enough
I got this to help stave off future bone loss. My doctor recommended the kind of vest where you can add and remove weights, but those all looked too bulky to me or like the weights were awkwardly distributed, so I thought "nah, it's only 8 pounds" and went with this instead. Turns out, 8 pounds is definitely noticeable to me - my legs get *tired* wearing this (which is the point, so yay?). It is surprisingly comfortable on the shoulders, stays in place, and doesn't interfere with my arm movements during exercise, so I'm sticking with it. Just be prepared to feel it a bit, and don't forget to add 8 to your weight if you're calculating the calorie burn for an activity you do while wearing this.

Great Product!
Great value and fits great! I am a smaller person and this fits a smaller person good.

Nice fit for the larger person
This particular brand was nice fitting for someone who has broad shoulders, back fat and large chest. I ordered 3 other vests prior to this one and sent them all back due to hugging my armpits!! This one hangs nice and fits nicely on all around.

Nice but too big
I needed an underarm adjustment for this to fit. It was perfect if it only fit.

Interesting side benefit
I’ve had this for a few weeks and like it for posture and core engagement, but the best benefit is that it offsets the weight of my boobs and helps me feel more centered.

I love the comfort and fit of my 12 pound vest.
I love this vest so much! I got the 12 pound one. And at first, it seemed a bit heavy, but now I love walking with it. It feels like a hug! It’s very comfortable, and goes on even over a winter jacket. I love the ability to adjust the tightness. I wear mine as tight as possible because it feels so comforting. I walk at a pretty quick pace, I’m not a runner anymore. And I love knowing I’m getting stronger every time I wear it. I highly recommend it. I was already pretty fit, so I started with 12 pounds for about 3.5 miles each time.. If you’re a newbie to fitness, or walking, you might want to start with 8 pounds.

My experience
I bought the 12 pound vest. I think the weight should be more evenly distributed between the front and back. All the weight in the back puts tension on the neck and shoulders. I find myself walking having to lift up on the shoulders or squeeze together the front to lessen the pressure.
