Great little smart relay, easy to connect up and can have a single pole switch connected to make it a virtual two way switch in a lighting circuit. Small enough to fit in a ceiling rose too. Can run 12v as well as 230v which is really handy. I’ve used them on lighting circuits but also for Smart Control of a 12v dead bolt on our front door. They work with matter enabled and Shelly have their own app, but there’s also an open source firmware that allows it to work with Apple HomeKit too - firmware is nice and easy to install from just a phone for anyone with a medium level of knowledge.

Easy to configure with the app and seamlessly integrated with Home Assistant. Bathroom extractor, 3d printer, lighting, the list is endless for uses.

These are simply extraordinary pieces of engineering, packing a very powerful punch. Not only can you use these to switch devices in or off- mains or dry contact- but the switch function can also be used to sense. Mine are fast and reliable, much more so than Z-wave devices. Programming can be performed by WiFi or Bluetooth to set operation parameters or even macro-like event programming. For example, set up as a momentary switch, one push can initiate a sequence of events including timings. You can also connect to them via the cloud from a browser or even CarPlay- useful for opening gates, doors, or other functions. Absolutely amazing devices for the money.

Almost perfect. The Shelly app doesnt work without internet connection on local LAN. To access internaly you need to use its on ip address. But when connected to internet, even remotly, is better compared to ewelink, sonoff or Tuya. Highly recommended despite high prices.

Used this to control my vivarium light, mainly through alexa but also with my phone. I did a bit of research because I wasn’t sure if you needed to wire a manual switch for it to work (you don’t). Wiring is fairly straight forward without including a switch. Had a few problems pairing it to the app but that could well have been user error. Once I’d got it connected, added the alexa skill, paired my Shelly account and it works flawlessly. Can’t comment on reliability yet but it appears to be good quality. Would have been cheaper to just put an inline switch in but who doesn’t love a gadget.

This is a quality product. Works perfectly every time. Works seamlessly with my home assistant too. Worth buying. After installing 2, I bought 4 more. Easy guife to installation also.

Finally a product that works as intended…. Hats off to Shelly this is a brilliant product.. I’m an electrician and tried all the different types of WiFi light switches … the cheaper ones work but only when you stood in the network … most use the flakey smart life life app which is awful so very refreshing to find a company who have obviously thought about their product enough to create their own app and it works flawless …. Definitely well worth the slightly higher price. Will always be using Shelly products from now on.

I have loads of Shelly gear which I use to automate lights and also my electric gates! So easy to install and run, no hub needed as they connect directly to my wifi. Can make existing lights smart without upsetting the current eco system. I have even used these on my electric gates to turn a dumb electric gate smart! I love these things.

Ho acquistato il Shelly Plus 1 per controllare il mio cancello pedonale tramite Alexa e l’app sullo smartphone, e devo dire che funziona alla perfezione. L’installazione è stata semplice, grazie alla connessione Wi-Fi & Bluetooth e al fatto che non richiede hub aggiuntivi. L’integrazione con Alexa e Google Home è immediata, permettendo di aprire o chiudere il cancello con comandi vocali o dall’app anche quando non sono a casa. Il relè è affidabile, i contatti a potenziale zero rendono tutto sicuro e la compatibilità con i sistemi smart è eccellente. Se potessi, gli darei 10 stelle: è davvero un prodotto di qualità, versatile e semplice da usare.

Shelly is gekend voor een goede integratie met Home Assistant. Cloud kan, maar hoeft helemaal niet. Sommigen snappen wel niet dat het gebruik zonder drukknop, men wel fysiek de drukknop weglaat, maar de Shelly reageert out-of-the-box" op deze "contact open" situatie, en volgt dus de commando's niet op zoals verwacht. Want de (ontbrekende) knop zegt steeds "contact open/ licht uit) . Een minimum wijziging van de werking via de web-interface is noodzakelijk, om goed te laten reageren, en de knop te negeren. de elektrische scheiding hoofdcontact van de knop-aansluiting maakt veilig werken mogelijk, met bvb een 12V voeding voor de knop. Is goedkoper dan een niet intelligente drukknop relais, en past in de oude plaats van die andere relais.
