I purchased this 2-pack of Vervida combination locks for my gym locker and a storage bin in the garage. After a couple of months of use, they have proven to be a solid choice, especially for the price. What I Really Like: Excellent Value: Getting two reliable locks for this price is fantastic. It's perfect for securing multiple items without a significant investment. Easy to Set & Reset: The resettable feature was straightforward to use. The included instructions were clear, and I had both locks set to my own personal codes in just a few minutes. This is a huge advantage over locks with pre-set combinations. Solid Build & Weather Resistance: The locks feel sturdy and well-made in hand. I haven't had any issues with the mechanism jamming. The "waterproof" claim seems to hold up; the lock on my outdoor storage bin has been through a few rainstorms with no rust or internal issues. Smooth Operation: The dials turn easily, and the shackle (the U-shaped part) opens and closes smoothly when the correct code is entered. The Reason for 4 Stars: The one minor drawback that prevents a perfect score is the tactile feedback. The dials don't have the most positive "click" when turning the numbers. It works perfectly fine, but it doesn't have the same high-quality, precise feel as some more expensive brand-name locks. You need to be a little deliberate when entering your code to ensure the numbers are lined up correctly. It's a small thing, but it's the main difference I notice between these and a top-tier lock. Verdict: For the vast majority of uses—a school gym locker, a toolbox, a garden gate, or a storage shed—these Vervida locks are more than capable. Years of use on outdoor shed exposed to sprinkler - no rust, doesn't get stuck like other locks. Other combinations locks will rust and due to their design get stuck and break over time. This lock has proven durability, longevity, outdoor use even when exposed to water and sun for years. I am VERY pleased. It is also easy to reset the password on the lock when needed (just squeeze the notch into the second nook and change your password). And also, the cost is extremely competitive. I give this lock easily 5 stars.

The directions were not helpful and one of the locks never worked. We were unable to set a combo. I would return but it is not an option. Do not buy this.

This is a nice-looking set of combination locks that feel heavy and sturdy, and are easy to read, set up and operate. Set-up is a breeze: 1) Turn shackle counterclockwise until "reset pin" and "reset slot" are aligned. 2) Push shackle down hard and then turn counterclockwise until it is above the number combination "window." 3) In that position, set desired combination/passcode. 4) After setting combination, turn shackle clockwise until it reaches "reset slot." 5) Pull up to release shackle. 6) That's it. Your personal combination is set. Use lock as you would any other. I really like this lock's look, feel and mechanism. Let's hope it is durable. And it seems like it should be.
