The switch in my refrigerator broke. I found these but because of the price I assumed they were a very low quality and decided instead to buy switches directly from the manufacturer. The switches from the manufacturer were about 10 times the price of these and I only got one. The switch that the manufacturer sent didn't work. It wasn't the right switch even though they insisted it was. These Amazon switches were the right switches. So after dealing with the manufacturer and finding out that I had spent way too much money on the wrong switch, I went ahead and ordered these because I thought what can I lose? They're so inexpensive. Guess what they worked. They were super easy to install. I should have just bought these in the first place.

A little put off in the description and reviews that you might recieve a white or gray color. Thankfully, I recieved white. As you can see from the before and after pictures, my Kenmore model 106.46422800 refrigerator door light switch has a wider, more centered button, the new one wired up the same and fits in the same hole. My refrigerator light now works as it should. Good value, easy to replace and no worries about an exact match. I suspect refrigerator manufacturers alternate the switch based on availability, since fitment and wiring are precisely identical. Good buy!!!

It seems these parts tend to break often. This time, I accidentally pulled something in the fridge, and a water bottle fell on one of the parts, causing it to break. I wasn’t sure how much it would cost to fix, so I checked YouTube for guidance and ordered the replacement parts. Now, everything is working perfectly! By the way, I have a Whirlpool fridge in my basement. Now that I know how to fix it, I also have an extra part on hand in case it needs replacing again. Thanks!

There is nothing more annoying than opening the fridge and having to hunt for the milk in the dark. I realized my door switch was finally shot, and after looking at the "official" replacement parts that were three times the price, I decided to take a chance on this 2-pack. The Install: If you’ve never replaced one of these, don't sweat it. It’s a very simple DIY job. I just used a flat-head screwdriver to pop the old, stuck switch out of the frame, swapped the two wires over to the new one, and snapped it back in. It took maybe five minutes total. Fit and Function: Compatibility: Even though these are generic, they fit perfectly in the housing. The "2 feet" (two-terminal) connection was an exact match for my setup. Feel: The spring tension feels solid—not too stiff, but it doesn't feel flimsy either. It makes a clean "click," and the light kicks on instantly every time now. Value: Since it comes in a pack of two, I now have a spare tucked away in a drawer for when the freezer switch inevitably decides to quit on me, too. The Bottom Line: Don't bother calling a repairman or overpaying for a branded part. This is one of those rare cases where the cheap "off-brand" version does the job exactly as well as the original. My fridge is bright again, and I saved a decent chunk of money doing it myself.

exact replacement for my kitchen Aid refrigerator. Old switch had just worn out over the years. NOTE: it's probably best to pull out and inspect the old switch as it appears there are two different versions used over the years- mine had two contacts on the side. When trying to determine what to buy some searches stated that my unit had the version with 3 contacts. Another NOTE: since this switch has the contacts on the left side - pry out the old switch from the right side so not to have the connectors hang up and possibly cause damage. Total time to replace about 4 minutes!!!
