Drained my 1000 gal pond in under 30 min! Super quiet, great handle, connections, really perfect.
I do a spring clean-out of my 1000 gallon koi pond every spring. I remove the fish, drain the pond and then do cleanup before re-filling. I previously used my big shop-vac to empty the pond, which took me ALL DAY. Ugh. But with this pump - it literally took me THIRTY MINUTES to drain my pond, combined with a 1.5 inch flat hose (with built-in connections, link below, if Amazon lets me do that). Honestly, it would have been even faster, but I would pause to catch fish I missed, etc. It took me 15 minutes from the time I opened the box to water flowing. Crazy. The handle is wonderful. The noise level is ridiculously low. We had music playing when we started this project, we never even turned up the volume. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. I cannot speak to the long-term quality, as I'll be using this literally once a year, but I do feel like it's made well for the money. The folks that installed our pond recommended a $700 pump like this. Nope. This one worked great. (Hoping that I've injected enough search words that pond people like me will find this)Speaking of which- for pond drainage - I got 95.43% of the way through before it got clogged with "bottom of the pond" garg. I'm not removing a star for this, because the pump was awesome. A couple of Philip's head screws on the bottom to pop it open and remove the junk, and you're good. The impellers are plastic, but for use like mine, not a big deal. My clogs took me just a few minutes to fix. (in my case, it was a little collection of small pebbles). Actually, I was really impressed that it took that long to get clogged with my process given how mirky my pond was - typical spring condition).I recommend this particular hose - because it has a 1.5" *threaded* end, and the "default" port on the pump is indeed a 1.5" *threaded* end. The pump includes some great adapters for smaller hoses, but if you use this system once a year like me, the larger flat hose with the connections built-in is the way to go.The instructions are good. You can trim the float length, but because I'm going to use this so infrequently, I don't need to. I literally held the float up above the water level to start/stop, because I was carefully monitoring to make sure I didn't catch a hiding fish! Really - this process went so fast, I didn't want anything "automatic". I just held the float and toggled it on/off. Perfect. Here's the hose - which I highly recommend!https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FJYR251?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Worked as an OEM replacement
I used this pump for a self contained sewage tank station. The OEM pump was almost $300 more expensive despite being only a .5 HP pump. This 3/4 HP pump was faster, and has done a great job. The only issue i had was that I had to adjust the float so that the pump would engage.

Great replacement!
Awesome pricepoint! Metal body and great power.Works for our 5foot up shoot to the sewege pipe. Replace the old one great, only personal choice is I am not a fan of the "rope float".

Terrible product
Bought this in 2022 but didn’t install it until a month ago Nov 2023. The poor review is for a few main reasons but I would tell everyone to never buy this product. First it has a separate wire harness for the float switch so it’s much more a wiring challenge than it needs to be. But that’s not the worst part. After installation upon 1 week of use at my lake rental property, the wiring apparently got wet and BLEW OUT THE PUMP. Nothing else went bad - not the breakers, not the float switch alarm, not the wiring from the house to the septic pit. THE ONLY THING THAT FAILED WAS THE PUMP. So whatever caused the short didn’t blow anything else out so how bad could it be. We volt tested all the lines - power for pump and power for float switch. Everything was wired properly and pump would not work. We went to Home Depot and bought a Everbuilt pump hooked it all up and perfect operation. Emptied the tank in less than 30min. So clearly we have proven this pump is a total piece of crap. The only product in the whole assembly that could not withstand a power trip. Please don’t ever buy this product from this company. You can’t return a septic pump so you’ll get 1 week out of this one instead of 10-12 years and you could end up with a septic back up massive issue if you’re not careful. Stay away!!

This pump is not getting all good reviews for me. On the top of the pump, there is an O-ring so that you can tie a rope to it. That O-ring broke on the first time which ended up with me having a horrible job. They could’ve used better quality O-rings that is much stronger. It’s ridiculous.

Missing parts
Received this pump yesterday and noticed the float wasn’t attached to the body. It won’t work properly unless it’s attached. Missing clip and screw. Useless to me now and why should I have to repair it myself?
