Like others have reported, mine arrived and the little window which secures the tiny beads was not secured to the canister. Therefore a good portion of the beads were just all over the packaging. I had to collect them all and dump them back inside. This also meant that you probably should recharge it in an oven before first use, because your new dehumidifier was lowing the humidity of the air it was shipping through. What I don't understand was that once I put the beads back inside and put back in the little window, it was super secure, like I couldn't remove it without tools, so was it ever installed at the factory before boxing. I can't imagine this window popping out during shipping it was super tight to reattach. They need to figure this out, or just put the beads in a sealed bag and then inside the box. You could then open them yourself and carefully pour them inside. Just be warned if you have kids or pets, be careful when opening the box. Perhaps get a cookie sheet or other tray to catch any loose beads. I lost some when they came out onto the floor and bed I had opened it on.Time will tell if it lasts, but once I got past all the clean up, it looks like my old one, which this one was replacing. I'll see if the humidity levels eventually drop like my old one. I'll update this review if things go south, or I have anything else to report. Thanks!

If it works, it works! This is the 2nd one I've bought. The first one worked great so why mess with perfection??

Bought this for use in a gun safe. Weighed the product when new and was 31.88 ounces. with blue silica beads. After three weeks the beads turned pink and the container now weighs 36.64 ounces, so it removed nearly 5 ounces of moisture from the inside of the gun safe, and hopefully preventing any rust from forming on the guns in the safe. Time to go in the oven. Working very well as planned so far.I saw other reviews where the canister itself starts to rust. I assume in those cases that it's because it's removing a lot of moisture and is not being dried out in the oven as it should be.

Just recharge in over at 300 for several hours. When crystals turn blue your good to go.

I’ve had this for 6 months. First couple months it was great and works well but the outside rusted and left a ring on the fabric. Thoroughly disappointed because I researched and this was not an issue anywhere else. Can fix the problem. Can only replace the fabric shelf.

It does absorb moisture but recharging takes hours in an oven. The outside will rust.

Size much smaller than advertised in the headline and returns not accepted!! The headline says 22 X 20 cm; in reality, it is 12 X 10 cm. Returns are not accepted.

Product arrived damaged with silica spilling out, damage was not due to shipping, would not recommend.
