It's a fitting
It's a fitting, not very glamorous. Looks well made. Bolted up fine and didn't leak - what more can you ask for.

Who is John Guest? A Genius, that's who
Doing some DIY projects at home and running water lines to my filtration system, John Guest is who I use. This is so easy to use, makes me feel like I'm a full-time plumber. This product is by far the best.

Easy Peasy
be sure to use teflon tape if you want a tight seal. Do not over-tighten or you'll crack it.

Effectively connects tubing
This connector does what it is supposed to — easily connected the water tubing for my water filtration system. The quick connect is easy to use.

Not 3/8 size
The packaging says 3/8, but the part inside was closer to 1/2. It was huge. I have the male version, from the same company, in the same package, and this does not come close to mating with it.

Not sure if it was me or the product...
This seemed to work fine but was leaking just a little bit. I did use the the teflon tape so I tightened it a bit more and *crack*! It broke off the threads completely. It was easy to get the threads to unscrew from my pump (using some ingenuity from a You Tube video) and I went to a local hardware store for a replacement.I did the teflon tape and tightened the new one and it held with no leaks. I'm not sure if this was user error (me over tightening) or if it is just not a very sturdy product. I could not wait for a return due to timing/shipping so I won't know for sure. The hardware store one held up though!

Would be better if wrapped with plumber tape
The product fits great, I like it. I just want to suggest that it would be even better if it is wrapped with plumber's tape. When I got it, it fits fine, but it has tiny leaks. So I asked around, and people told me that I have to wrap it with plumber's tape. That resolves the problem. But it would be great if the product already had plumber's tape wrapped around it so I don't have to rush into canadian tire to get one.

Quick, simple, leak-free connections
Product did exactly what it says. Just push the tube In until it bottoms out and you will have leak free connections. It is important to make clean square cuts on your tubing. I used a tubing cutter for this.
