Perfect OEM replacement for wife's 2018 RAV4. Lid would reverse after beginning to close, and she had to resort to manually pulling it down every time. Replacement struts and cabling are IDENTICAL to the originals, down to the smallest details, and work perfectly and silently. A couple of YouTube videos show exactly what you need to do, such as pulling off the plastic fascia to get to the wiring inside the hatch. But otherwise a very simple job, took me a couple hours, next time would probably take under an hour. You'll need a socket set and a screwdriver, things like that.

Not OEM but also not OEM price. I can put in 3 of these before I hit the price of one set of OEM parts. Fit as they should and install is straight forward if you are mechanically inclined. If you are looking for detailed directions in the box you should probably be taking you car to a repair shop and not trying to do this your self. This is not a complicated repair. Quality and function of the parts are good.

The product fits, installs easily and works well. The electrical connection is compatible. The weather boot at the access through the liftgate is different from the OEM; the material is thinner and attaches differently. be careful when removing the joint covers from the struts you will be replacing because you will want to re-use them with the replacement struts. The rear power back door recently started to malfunction in my 2018 Toyota Rav4. I did some research to find replacement parts and decided on these since they were a lot less expensive than the prices for the dealer parts. So far, I am happy with my purchase, and these seem to operate just as good as the OEM parts they replaced and are less noisy as well. One good thing about these lift gate struts is that they have the brackets already attached so it is basically a bolt on installation. These do not come with instructions, but with a google search, you can easily find a how-to video on YouTube to find out how to remove the old lift supports and install the new ones. I also recommend using a ladder to hold your lift gate up while you replace the struts so that the weight of the gate is supported while the parts are being changed. Hope this information helps.

Rear struts commonly fail and dealer replacement is outrageous expensive. This DIY kit replaces OEM precisely.Easy install because everything is included. No instructions so look to YouTube. Start by removing the top trim panel, then pop off the sides and finally the bottom panel. Remove carefully so the nylon pop fasteners do not break…use a plastic prybar. Then support the hatch with a 6 foot ladder and unbolt the strut supports, disconnect the electrical and remove the old units. After replacement check functionality. Replace trim.

Power lift broke after 9 months. Now I can't get anyone to contact me for replacement. It's been 5 days. I need a new lift

Your hatch not work when it's cold out and/or when the hatch is up & you hit the button and it moves a lil' then goes back up, when you go to open it & it doesn't go up, yup these should do it ! Also, my woman's Rav4 hatch struts sounded awful from the day she got it & it started messing up when it got cold out? Then it got worse & didn't want to work at all sometimes but these fixed the hatch and I couldn't be happier making my girls RAV4 nice again. Toyota has a TSB on this problem & her RAV4 had the code for the drivers side strut. The TSB says to replace both and I got the kit. Get a left or right if you got the kit and L or R gets messed up from an accident, etc. Biggest thing is to remove the hatch inside panel unplug both connectors on both sides(2nd 1 is for sensor that has to come off) & be careful removing those lil clips for the trim things that have to come off, I broke a couple use the ones left. 1 lift strut missing will not stay up, use a broom or something to hold hatch while you work. Oh yeah, 30+ yr Auto Master Tech here & I waited to write this review to make sure they were good but after 6ish months they are Fantastic !!!

Unfit for purpose. Installed these in a 2013 Toyota RAV4 and they did not exert enough force to lift the hatch.

يعيب المنتج ان الربله غير متطابقه مع سيارتي تاهو 2018 مما اجبرني على قطع راس الفيش واستبدلت الربل بالقديمه والاصليه واعاده تلحيم الأسلاك المنتج بعد تجربه اكثر من شهر يعمل بجوده ولا يحتاج برمجه تحديث للتقييم تم شراء المنتج تقريباً 2024 April الى الان ولله الحمد يعمل بشكل جيد 15 October 2024 ✅ يعمل لحد الان 2025/5/25 لاحضت ان ارتفاع الباب بعد الفتح انخفض بنسبه بسيطة
