This is absolutely a worthwhile investment. I have a window in a small landing at the top of my stairs that traps heat. It's the hottest place in the home as light hits that window all day. I have a bedroom there as well so that that window heats up the entire bedroom even when the door is closed. After researching alot of options I chose this to try. It was easy to put up. I will link as long as you have a good squeegee. From the moment I put it up, the amount of sun steeming in dropped and so did the heat. Some reviews said that condensation would form on the inside of the window causing the seal to fail. I did mot experience any condensation, most likely because the had failed along time ago. This worked like a charm and will be Installation tip - use an exacto or a box cutter ith a new blade as the film is durable but can tear if the balde is not sharp. Use a quality squeegee. I got the 5" green one by Brand OMNANGO. The edge is fine so I could get the film into small areas. If you can put protector on your cell phone, you can do this. I will be putting it on other key windows in the future.

I bought this to obscure the windows in a storage space and it worked great and was easy to apply. I don't have any connection to the company but I'd like to address some of the complaints in the one star reviews because I look at bad reviews to make purchase decisions and some of the ones here are way off base. To the people who complained that the tools that were supposed to be included were missing... They were inside the cardboard tube the film was rolled around, one of you didn't even open the package before complaining about missing tools in a review. To the people who couldn't separate the backing sheet... If you apply a piece of tape to the backing sheet side at a corner it's fairly easy to remove – I did it and I have no fingernails to speak of. If that doesn't work apply tape to both sides and pull in opposite directions. To the people who complained that you could see through it... You both bought the "pure" color, you should have bought the "white." The description clearly says that the "pure" has "better light transmission" and the "white" has "better privacy." To the people who say it doesn't stick... Adding a few drops of dish washing soap (NOT dishwasher detergent) to the water in the spray bottle should solve your problem.

I ordered the 31.5-inch size after measuring my windows but still ended up cutting it down on the sides. Thankfully, trimming it was simple (I used a Xacto knife) and didn’t affect the look at all. Installation was pretty straightforward and much easier than I expected. Once up, it made a huge difference in my daughter’s room, it darkened the space so she no longer wakes up at the crack of dawn with the sun! I didn’t exactly try my hardest to push all the bubbles out but I did use a squeegee to help push the biggest ones out.

So far so good. Install of course was a pain as usual but by the last window we figured it out. If you cut your pieces 1/4" bigger it'll leave 1/8" around which tucks perfectly into the windows. Putting it on the window isn't an issue, trimming while on the window is the issue. We used water with a little soap and sprayed the window and film completely, one of us held it in place while the other made a quick swipe down and across so it would stay in place and not slip. It's quality material and I actually like that it doesn't have any adhesive, one less struggle. Hopefully it holds up well! We got it to block the dogs from seeing out and barking at everything.

I've had experience with tinting film over the years. -1 star-This film was extremely hard to work with. I ordered enough to repeat application in case the first attempt went south. The biggest hurdle is keeping lint and debris off the inside of the window film as this tint generated an enormous amount of static electricity. -1star-Even using cotton gloves, wiping surface with Tac cloth and using de-ionized water (distilled) in the prep solution I was still not able to get a completely lint free application. It's fine for personal use, but I wouldn't use for a customer because it just creates so many lint & air bubbles. The only pluses were 1)- it was extremely durable. Make sure you go back after 4-5 hours and re squeegee all the bubbles out as it WILL bubble up on you. Do not let it set or the bubbles will be permanent. 2)-It does indeed cut down on UV and heat inside our home. Our July energy usage was down 20% from same time last year.

Was hoping to avoid any and all adhesive residue on the windows, this won't work well for windows as it still lets in a lot of light. We were however able to make use of it for dimming a night light slightly.

As indicated in the instruction, the more water the better. Then installation is pretty straightforward. It does reduce light and heat noticeably as promised.

Junk product. Really poor quality. Should be a $1 or $2 for the quality. Does not adhere well to the window.
