Appears to be well made. Easy to use (once you realize that you are supposed to hit the wooden ball, NOT the box). Sounds great (see video). Just need this for one song that my band plays. We are not a gigging band, so price was important. We have been using the vibraslap effect in a keyboard, but this sounds WAY better. If you need or want a vibraslap, buy this one.

don't cheap out on a vibra-slap, get the real thing because the el cheapo ones are not loud enough and don't sound that great

No surprises. Having never slapped a Vibra-Slap in my life, I suppose it is good :-). I note there are some higher-priced options for professional percussionists I suppose, but this one does the trick for the price. Especially given that it will be struck exactly 5 times in a set: Once for "Crazy Train" and four times (I think) for "Sweet Emotion"! :-)
