Iron Kingdoms Adventure: Widower's Wood Board Game

Great way to introduce yourself to the world of Hordes. Rather than an army vs. army game (as the flagship product line is), in this game you command a group of 4 warriors on a series of different adventures. Not a dungeon crawl, but rather a "swamp crawl" through the Hordes/Minions world of marvelously designed creatures, characters, and background story.Excellent value - tons of well sculpted figures (my primary reason for buying this), beautiful artwork & game pieces. Everything you need to play is in the game box. This game will be much easier to set-up and play than Warmachine/Hordes, especially when I have friends over for game night who might not be deep into this world.If you are familiar with Warmachine/Hordes, you will find the rules easy to grasp - in fact, they are a simplified/modified version of Warmachine/Hordes. If you've never played this sort of game before, be prepared to roll lots of six-sided die - but once you've played a few rounds, the game mechanics will make sense.

This was a gift for my son-in-law. Not sure what he sees in this stuff, but he's totally into it and I love the guy, so I'm happy!

Corner of box is slightly dinged but besides that great. All the minis are intact >.< part of the reason of my order. To receive the amount of minis for 35$ is fair!
