The no template install was easy. Just pull the tape cover off, place in the gate (make sure it clicks), then stick it to the wall. Press the release button and carefully lift the gate off its mount. Then put the screws in. Repeat for the bottom mount. After 4 days of constant use, the lock is working fine. If I don't update this review, then the lock is still working. I recommend this gate for bottom of stairs and room divider for dogs and kids. Top of stairs for dogs but I would pay a lot more for the security of my kids.

No only was this gate easy to install it’s easy to open & close. It keeps our beagle off of our vintage rugs. Great product.

This product was super easy to install. It comes with stickers that stick to the wall mounts that make it much easier to keep it lined up while you drill your holes. The bottom mount slides up and down the frame which creates a very simple removal and installation process. It seems to hold very well but does have some kick back it your just let the gate retract on its own. There is both a lock for that gate itself and one for keeping the frame being removed off the wall. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the drywall anchors that come with it. I used them first but they are absolute garbage so I replaced them. I would absolutely purchase this again.

Great product. Perfect for wider doorways and retracts and pulls out very easily. Keeps our 110lb dog out of the room well.

I purchased this for my daughter's home as her new addition is now on the move and getting into everything that she can! My daughter loves it. She said it was super easy to install and she loves how it latches and isn't annoying to open/close. Very sturdy. I will be purchasing another for my home.

Bought 3 of these as my baby gate for my daughter… I like how they retract instead of the usual baby gates that look like a baby jail gate and sometimes jams on my finger too… I love how it also helps block the dogs out of the play area, while baby girl plays and crawls around. And instead of shutting the door we just use this to keep baby girl from coming out of her bedroom.

If you have a dog that likes to chew, or doesn't want to stay where you put it, this isn't for you. I have a large dog, the first night it managed to get under gate, the 2nd night he just chewed the bottom and made a hole.
