Good stuff!
I only got this one because for some reason it's hard as heck to find Kikkoman at a decent price on Amazon. I also figured it would be fun to try an actual Japanese Kikkoman and I'm glad I did. This one doesn't have nearly as much of an umami punch as regular Kikkoman, but that can be a good thing. It's harder to overwhelm your food with the flavor that screams SOY SAUCE. It comes across more like a gentle kiss of umami with a very subtle hint of sweet. This makes it a lot nicer for something like tamagoyaki or more delicate broths that could easily be overwhelmed by normal soy sauce. Plus it's actually lighter in color so you're also less likely to turn your food brown or muddy. Personally I think I'll be keeping both in my pantry going forward, because sometimes you want the soy sauce bomb effect and sometimes you want something a bit more subtle. There's definitely room for both.
