Really good but a little slow
Think of the reality tv show The Bachelor, that is what this book is about. The king of fae needs to choose a new bride to stop a kind of curse and due to personal issues he wants someone that he can't love, so he can keep her at arms length. However, all the candidates have to go through a tournament that is a mixture of hunger games and the bachelor, and it is all televised. He has to put on a show for his humans allies, but not everything goes according to plan.Ava is a fae that was raised as human, in the human world. She suffers a major blow to her life on the day she meets the king and gives a terrible first impression. He thinks she is perfect candidate as he couldn't possibly, ever love her.He helps her train for all the physical tests and Things become complicated, the tension is real. They never actually do anything much but we know what they want to do with each other, so low spice , but good tension.

Not bad
I have found some of this author's series to be but and miss. Some very good but some boarding on chikdish. This however is not a bad read. I like Ava, she's down on her luck but deep down still has a fighting spirit. There is some humour but also it can be a bit blood thisty, as fae can be. The plot is not bad and we know with Eva being an outcast and left in the human world there will be more than meets the eye with her and it's just when will that come out. Not sure whatvor why Shalie is in the story she hasn't added much to the plot. I will by the 2nd as I'm intrigued and want to know what happens next.Ps thanks for the art work😏

Really hard to finish
When I first started reading this book I found it funny and I was engrossed. About half way through it began to bore me and I couldn’t wait for it to end. It’s so hard to put my finger on where it lost me. Too much description? Maybe. I think I just didn’t care about the characters and story after a while. Will I read book two? I have this feeling I’ll start it and then give up. I try not to be a quitter but I’m hoping maybe book 2 will be better. I really hope so because the beginning showed real potential

My new addiction
This book definitely exceeded my expectations. When I first picked it up and read the short summary I wasn't sure how well I would get on with it. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong.Frost is the first instalment of the Frost and Nectar series and let me say that you are in for a treat. This book pretty much had some of my all time favourite tropes.~ Enemies to lovers~ Marriage of convenience~Forced Proximity~Sexual tension~Rewarding slow burnAlso this whole The Bachelor meets The Hunger Games was a plot I never knew I needed!Ava what a FMC, I really liked her POV and her character arc has been very enjoyable and I am excited to see what the next sequence will bring for her development.Torin though, oh he stole the show.. He pretty much had my heart throughout the entire book. He absolutely deserves the world.I would also like to give a huge shout out to Shalini. She was quite literally the epitome of best friends. And don't think for one second I didn't notice that connection between her and Aeron. Torin's well trusted guard!!The world building was done nicely and the author definitely leaves room for development in the continuation.Frost is a fast-paced, quick and easy, steamy read and I am already so attached to the characters and this plot. I am so excited to see where this story is going especially with those final few plot twists that was revealed towards the end!!Great start to what I can already tell is going to be an addicting series.

Wanting more
When a book makes me wish I was done reading it already I know that no matter how many are in the series I won't be reading them. This book absolutely DID NOT give me that feeling! All I can say is I want more please!

Starting the next one now
I just liked all of it.Wasn't bored, characters were easy to love.Funny, fun, I teared up a bit.Only reason I'm not giving it 5, I listened and read at the same time, and there were discrepancies between the book and audio that had me confused.
