Alfred's Basic Adult Theory Piano Book, Level 3 Review: Alfred's is great for teaching piano! - I mainly got this book because I had the earlier two levels from a few years back and wanted to complete my collection. By the time you're getting to this book after completing the other two (with regard to piano theory at least, but not necessarily with regard to piano practice) you're developing a fairly solid understanding of music as it relates to the piano and notereading. That said, be sure to check out my review of "Alfred's Teach Yourself to Play Piano: Everything You Need to Know to Start Playing Now! (Book & DVD) (Teach Yourself Series)". You can correlate this "Alfred's Basic Adult Theory Piano Book - Level 3" with what you learn from that DVD and manual course. With the latter, you have a visible instructor on screen (DVD) who talks to you and shows you what to do and how to do it. In that case, it's like hiring a teacher for dozens of lessons and paying for only one. Review: I'm sure it will. I have completed level 1 ... - I'm sure it will. I have completed level 1 and am almost finished with level 2 and have had no complaints. I have learned so much about music theory already and see no reason why level 3 will not continue to improve my music knowledge.

Companion Book
This book is a companion book for Alfred's Adult level 3 book. Because it's a companion book it seems a little disorganized, although I imagine when it is following lessons in the other books it is arranged in a logical sense. Same material you find in many books, circle of 5ths, scales and chords. I really don't recommend it unless you are using the lesson book.
