Regular vs. "Pro"
If you're like me and trying to figure out what the difference is (was), let me save you the trouble I went through and spoil the answer:Regular (black, silver, white)- cheaper cost, SPECTACULAR northern lights style flowing colors, music and soothing sounds, syncs to Bluetooth to work as a speaker, remote control functions.Black Pro - costs MORE, trash quality light projection that just looks like triple layeri crosshatch of colors mimicking being underwater. Doesn't move as far as I could tell...Same basic other functions as a calming sound maker and Bluetooth speaker.Point is, if you WANT it to look like northern lights (like I did) then DON'T make the mistake of thinking the "deluxe" version must be the "better" version. The pro version looks worse. 👌And it doesn't tell you that anywhere.

Each one only does one pattern!
Update: it wasn't made clear in the listing, but each style only does one pattern. I mistakenly assumed the most expensive one would do multiple things - but no. The pro (the first one I bought, and the most expensive) only does the giraffe pattern, no aurora lights. I returned it and bought the cheapest one, and it only does the aurora light effect. Con: the only light color for the stars is green (why green? So weird to me. White would obviously be best, or yellow, but worst case do blue. Green for stars is so odd.) the aurora lights are beautiful. Still playing with how to choose what color I want, or if the only choice is continuous shifting color. But it's pretty, and quiet to run. I wish they could combine multiple effects into one unit. The basic, leat expensive model is working well for me.Original review from the pro: Most likely will be returning, I can only make this do a giraffe pattern projection. I'm not sure how other reviewers got an aurora like lighting effect. Also, it is very loud - as the light rotates it's clicking. The $8 I bought on Temu was this loud, which is largely why I decided to upgrade to a real projector. I'll have to find one other than this though

COLOR CHANGING CHAIN LINK FENCE
This is the 2nd one I got and it is the same, the effect looks like a chain link fence not the soft whispery cloud look that I see on tons of YouTube videos. I do believe I got defective ones because this time there's a very small area and I mean very small that actually looked like the videos. I will be returning it for the 3rd time, it got so many good reviews I don't understand. They were definitely defective cause the company reached out to me and shipped out another one and this one is awesome . I got it super fast, great customer service. This company is good by me, they took care of the problem promptly and the product, well you just gotta see it to believe it. THANK YOU ROSSETTA!

RETINAL DAMAGE!!!
The media could not be loaded. I loved it at first. It was beautiful for a week. I didn’t realize that I got a piece of garbage that is HAZARDOUS TO EYESIGHT. Btw the video is with it on the absolute lowest brightness and related room with the green laser not working like it was when I bought itWhat do you want this thing to do is light up your ceiling or your room and not your eyeballs however, you cannot achieve one without the other. Also, the remote sucks and you have to go right next to the machine to even get it to register and push it repeatedly w/ light going into your eye entire time. There is an egg shaped one that is guarded in a way that you don’t get blinded. This is a different story. It’s designed so that you cannot get a good projection onto your ceiling without also being blinded. If using it every night, you’ll start to notice an accumulation of eyesight damage from the green laser especially photobleaching the retina. I feel like I were outside and looked at the sun for 20 minutes or something. I pray my eyes recover. Even if there is no direct path, he will detect light, entering your eye, and irritating it when you wouldn’t think there would be. My vision is hazy and has spots like I’ve been blinded. I read about lasers, and I realized that it was dangerous all along.I finally tried to prop it up on my curtain rod to get it in a position to shoot at the ceiling is not near my eyes, and it can sit there. Except needs to be angled as well, and you cannot angle it on my curtain rod. and literally fell off my bed and got hurt.DIES DOWN TO A DULL COLOR .- The green dots mostly died out already after one month. There are about 30 stars now. I am being generous. And then the other ones that died out and still be seen sometimes but they are very very faded.- The stars are locked into a permanent breathing mode.- The green laser is dangerous. Green lasers are the brightest. It doesn’t look like the stars but I use it because it is cheap. But it’s also the most dangerous and they don’t even tell you what class laser it is…- You need your room to be quite dark to get a good result and you also need to turn thebrightness up which is hazardous as hell.POSITIONINGyou’re going to have a very hard time making it look nice on your ceiling without blinding yourself. It has no tilt. You have to prop it up on something. I was putting it in a lamp shade but it’s like one of the two lights always be interfering with your vision. Even if peripheral. Not only do you have to prop it up on an angle, but it doesn’t have a a good range of projection. The laser actually had hundreds of little green lines coming out when it worked before it faded out.COLORS- There’s 4 colors and they don’t blend together. You’ll never get the outcome in the pictures. False advertising.I wish I knew about the Sega Homestar or the dark skys planetarium light because that is what I would have gotten plus a better aurora light with BLUE STARS from galaxy lamps.

Not that great or unique
Not sure why this had such high reviews or tries to command a premium price as lesser ones look better and have more flexibility. The plastic casing is very slippery, so anytime you pick it up or try to prop it at an angle - it will slide/fall. The ball does not move inside the housing to provide for a different focus of the projection. The nebula view isn’t that great and under the quality of the SkyProjector. The music beat function only works if you set it on the speaker and it has a loud thump, otherwise - it won’t register.I’m not saying it doesn’t do what it was designed to do, it just doesn’t do it well.

Great gift for a teenager
Christmas gift for my teenager. She loves it. The lights change with the music.
