Do you apply this by hand or is their a dispenser?

You apply by hand. You can buy a separate dispenser but it is only really useful if you were doing the whole lawn rather than patches.

Can i apply aftercut all in one and the aftercut patch fix simultaneously? will one counteract the other? many thanks in advance

we had quiet a large bald patch in out lawn, we used the all in one it worked a treat, not sure you will need both. hope this helps

Does this work on soil only patches where the grass has completely died and gone?

I would say yes, I used it on patches burnt by dog wee. Scraped off dead grass, roughed up soil and topped with Aftercut.
