Child relative got lots of great presents for Christmas but surprisingly the candy grabber was their favourite! It is a great product, a mini version of the ones you see at fairgrounds and arcades, doesn't come with any sweets so just put a pack of the swizzels multipacks in which work perfect, takes kids away from computers and introduces them to a more old school way of play, great for hand-eye coordination and motor skills! Comes with plastic tokens which you can use to put in the money slot, plays fairground music whilst you try to grab the sweets, gets faster and faster until time runs out, great fun for all the family, sometimes it's easy to grab the sweets and sometimes it's hard!!! Great Product!

The first Fairground Candy Grabber arrived just in time for Christmas - unfortunately with a cracked back. I put the batteries in (as the damage looked superficial) but disapointingly didn't work properly as the grabber would only move in one direction. I returned it and recieved a repacement after Christmas. Even though this one appeared undamaged, it also turned out to be faulty. The grabber would not close or move forward/back or close. I have returned both and recieved a refund. I found a different version by 'World Gadgets' called 'The Grabber' on eBay. It's a bit smaller but it works great. This 'Fairground Candy Grabber' would be great fun for kids if it worked but unfortunatly the build quality is just too poor. To save any dissapointment, I would suggest avoiding this version and find another.

Great fun, everyone loves it, keeps the little ones occupied (plus the adult kids), great for kids parties, Christmas, Easter etc.. Filled it with Q.St. chocs, they were the right size for the Grabber. You need to use the right size & weight confectionery or whatever you put in it. Only negatives are: sometimes the filler lid pops off as the crane mechanism moves under it. Recommend you don't fill it with sweets that are too heavy, too big or too slippery packaged like Roses.

Another great arcade game providing much entertainment for 5+y old children but you have to accept that they will be eating their sugary winnings. It might be possible to load it with alternative more healthy items but not I've thought of anything yet since, ideally, whatever is loaded should be wrapped. This is because without dismantling the case you cannot easily clean the interior. Also, the grabber is weak in its action (just like those you find in the real amusement arcades!) so most attempts fail if normal sized sweets are used. After some searching, I eventually discovered some 'mini bon-bons' by Curtis which greatly improved the chances of winning and thus maintaining interest!. The added bonus is that these are very small sweets so sugar intake is minimised. Not being able to run it silently is slightly irritating.

My son wanted the Candy Grabber for Christmas so I was delighted when I ordered it and it arrived with no problems. My son was thrilled and for the first week or so it worked perfectly. However the chains started to get stuck and the grabber could not be moved up. My son then opened the top and inspected the mechanisms and fixed the chains so it was back working perfectly. However every so often the chains get twisted and it is a case of opening it up and fixing it again. For this reason and for the fact that it plays very annoying music with no volume control, I will give it 3 stars but my son really enjoys it when it works. He also enjoys fixing it!

BOUGHT THIS A FEW MONTHS AGO AS I ALWAYS LOVE PLAYING THE ONES AT FAIRS ETC. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN WATCHING OUT FOR 'GOODIES' TO GO INTO IT. EASY ENOUGH TO FIND 'PACKS' OF DIFFERENT ITEMS.....POUNDLAND WAS A GOOD START AND I NOW HAVE PLENTY OF ALL SORTS....GOT IT SET UP YESTERDAY WHEN A FRIEND AND HER TWO BOYS (2 AND 4) VISITED......THEY LOVED IT AND BECAUSE I HAVE PLENTY MORE THEY LOVED TAKING HOME THEIR 'WINNINGS,......NO MORE THAN 3 EACH. .THEY'RE PROBABLY MUCH BETTER THAN ME AT IT......SO AGREED THIS BEFOREHAND.I LOVE IT ..NEED A BIT MORE PRACTICE THOUGH........

First of all I have to say that Amazon customer support handled my issue really well!! Within 30 minutes of raising the issue, an agent had replied to me apologising for the inconvenience & letting me know that I would be refunded in full. So in terms of Customer support, my experience has been great which I really do appreciate and it gives me the confidence to make future purchases. Now to the Candy Grabber itself. It was a Christmas present so when the back/forward directional controller didn’t work straight out of the box there was a lot of disappointment. The kids were still able to use it for a few days (even without back/forward control) until the grabber itself stopped working. It stopped opening when travelling downwards toward the sweets. I had intended to repurchase another one but after seeing the quality issues with this one, I was put off. So to sum up my experience, Product Quality was way below par but Customer support has been excellent.

A bit cheap but was a great hit at my 2 year old's birthday party... And will be a hit for parties in coming years too I am sure! Enjoyed by kids young and old! I would recommend the best sweets to put in it are things like Celebrations and such like. No lollies, the grabber isn't strong enough.

Oggetto veramente divertente e simpatico adatto per grandi e piccini

Meine beiden Kinder im Alter von 21 und 17 kann ich sogar mit dem Candy Grabber sehr begeistern. Selbst Erwachsene werden vom Ehrgeiz gepackt aus diesem Automat etwas raus zu angeln. Er sorgt echt für viel Spaß. Lachmuskeln werden hier trainiert. Vor allem dann, wenn keiner etwas in der Zeit angeln kann. Und man es mit Gewalt aber trotzdem haben will. Es macht echt gute Laune. Einige Produkte sind leichter dort heraus zu fischen, wie andere. Aber auf jeden Fall ein riesen großer Spaßfaktor. Probiert es mal selber aus. Viel Spaß damit. Liebe Grüße Anja

ce produit attire beaucoup les enfants, qui s'amuse pendant des heures, mais qui fait un bruit insupportable et non réglable !!!! le défaut c'est que c'est de mauvaise fabrication et qu’après une journée d'utilisation , il ne marchait plus. je l'ai ouvert et j ai trouvé un fils très mal soudé, un peu de bricolage après il re fonctionne. l’intérieur me fait penser au travaux pratique de technologie du collège

Die Versanddauer war angemessen. Nach langem Recherchieren hatte ich mich für diese Variante des Candy Grabbers entschieden, auch seines schönen Aussehens wegen. Er war als Weihnachtsgeschenk gedacht. Batterien liegen nicht anbei. Man muss 3 große Batterien der Größe D hinzu kaufen. Nach umständlichen Auspacken, vor allem des Greifarms, musste ich leider feststellen, dass dieser kaputt war - er bewegte sich zwar korrekt nach links und rechts, aber nicht nach unten und oben. Die Schnurr muss sich irgendwie verhakt haben oder die Technik war kaputt. So musste ich ihn leider zurück schicken. Und da die Zeit bis Weihnachten für einen Umtausch nicht mehr ausreichte, musste ich mir ein anderes Weihnachtsgeschenk ausdenken. Auf den Kosten der großen D-Batterien bin ich nun leider auch sitzen geblieben. Ich denke mal, es ist Glückssache, ob dieser Grabber einwandfrei funktioniert oder nicht.
