Best picks out there when played with the rubber side
Best picks I have ever used, and I've used lots. So good that they are the only picks I use these days. The end is sharp and quite bright, overall pleasant to use, similar to a Jazz III but doesn't 'stick' to the strings in the same way I find those picks do and also not as brittle sounding. The variable flexibility is absolutely genius too but the real reason I keep but these picks is because, if you turn the pick on it's side and play with the rubber end it creates a beautiful warm sound that is perfect for playing jazz. It also slides across the strings with no pick feedback/drag at all when played this way, making complex funk strumming patterns or fast lead lines totally effortless to play. Dava, if you listening out there, please make a pick that is made entirely out of rubber. It would be the perfect pick.

Superb
I have tired a myriad of plectrums in my time. But these are the best I’ve ever used, grip is superb, actually make you want to play even more, I’ll be getting the rock ones next just to try

Great Pick
Needed a firm but flexible pick to play some quicker songs. Perfect for my needs. Will be buying some more !

nice picks
I'm still trying to find the right picks for my mandolin playing. I like the grips very much. I would prefer the picks themselves to be firmer. I could swear that the blue and yellow picks are a little firmer than the white one, but that is probably me. The jazz pick pointed shape helps make a nice crisp sound. EDIT May 2020 - I now use these picks all the time. My playing has developed, and these work well. The biggest accolade is that my teacher now uses them!

The best picks I've ever used!
I've been playing guitar for 18 years and I've tried almost every mass-market brand of pick around. I went through a long phase of using the Dunlop Big Stubby picks, before going off them for some reason I can't put my finger on and discovering the Jazz series of picks (which I had previous always written off as being too small to be comfortable). While I still love the Jazz series, I decided to check out the Dava stuff mainly because they looked pretty cool and had solid reviews... Since the Davas arrived they are all that I've used. They've made me play more often, making the entire experience more enjoyable while writing my bands new album to a recording deadline. They're the perfect thickness, this is probably partly because of the flexible center of the pick which allows you to hold it at different points to dictate the rigidity of how it plays. This might be one aspect that some players may find difficult to adjust to if you've got an inefficient pick grip, but it's perfect because it lets you adjust on the fly from looser strumming to more precise picked patterns (my band plays a mix of folk metal and black metal, so shifting from tremolo riffs to more loosely strummed parts and detailed leads is generally required without the hassle of changing pick types). The only downside, and this is going to vary from player to player, is that they're not the most durable picks in the world. Structurally they're perfect, but in terms of the material wearing away I've already gone through three of the six picks in just over a month...whereas I have other picks that I've owned for years and haven't worn away. A caveat to this point is that I've been recording an album full of fast rhythms and tremolo riffs using .12-.56 gauge strings (fairly thick strings) across hundreds of takes, doing this every day of the week on top of additional writing/practice sessions. So that may be an exception rather than a proper reflection on their usual durability. Still, it's the only way I can fault these. I couldn't recommend these highly enough, they're going to be my go-to picks for the foreseeable future!

Great product
Bought as a present. They loved them. Would recommend especially for anyone who has hand/ grip problems. Update. I have been informed not only are they a better grip but are not too stiff when playing and my son now uses them aswell.

Love these picks! Delivered in what felt like an hour
Just a fantastic product, picking is so much more relaxed as the pick stays stuck in the right spot with no effort even with slightly damp hands. Really brightens up the tone compared to all vinyl picks too and spun on its side to play rubber on string gives a really warm, varied tone. Pal gave me one of these years ago and I wore it out as it was the only one I ever wanted to use! Great to know where to come in future. Many thanks

These are pretty great. They're made to change in firmness depending on how hard you squeeze them, which makes them very versatile. Good grip, and comfortable and easy to hold.

A essayer d'urgence !

This is it. This is the pick I use the most, and for good reason. It doesn't slip, you can usually do whatever you'd like to with it, and it feels good. Choke up on the pick and you can get precise notes; let a little past the thumb, and you can get the give you need to do some proper strumming. Fantastic. It's just about enough control when you need it, though you can't quite achieve the rigid control of, say, a thicker pick (like a 2.0mm Dunlop Gator, a metal pick, or a Red Bear). Note that they will break (in the thin middle, leaving it a floppy, rubber-coated mess) eventually if you're rough on your picks (like I am); if only Dava would try out different, heavier plastics in with this rubber coat! I own a Tuff-Tone tri-point Red Bear pick, and while I do enjoy the rigidity of that pick when I feel like being more heavy-handed, I always make sure I have a Grip Tip in my wallet. I have V-Picks, Surfpicks, a Dugain, Herco thumb picks, Jackson Bombs, Fender Celluloids (in several form-factors), two glass picks, some Dunlops (Tortex, Gators, Stubbys, some Cools, Ice-Pix (another great brand, the copper is my second favorite pick), and many, many more picks in a little tin box, and you can damn well be sure that there will always be a Dava in it too, breakage or no. The fellow who said they were too flexible had a good point (by the way, try the copper ice-pix and you may find it's what you're looking for) -- it would be very, very fantastic if there was a more rigid version of this pick that I could get more control out of, though I'd probably still use this one -- but when I want rigidity, I'll grab a thicker, more rigid pick (the copper Ice-Pix is probably the next one in line). I really do wish they lasted longer, but I'll be buying these picks for a long time. When I want a versatile pick I can make rigid *enough* or flex-y enough to do whatever, on the fly, I'll take my yellow Grip-Tip out of my wallet and rock.
