Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series [DVD] [2000]

Love love love love love this show!!! Would recommend if you are fan or if you haven't watched it to buy this box set. It is light hearted a gentle, easy watch. It is on Netflix and Disney+ too but having watched it both on those streaming services some scenes are missing which can be found on the DVD. Also would say it is a coming of age show!

The best entertainment to chill out to. I cannot stop watching this box set ever since the day I bought it. I think The Gilmore Girls is the most brilliant series of family entertainment ever made. I remember that I used to watch these series on television some years ago but I never focused on them because I kept missing shows, so I wasn't following the stories fully. I then tried to record the shows but ended up missing the odd ones or the start of a series so I decided to buy the box set. Now that I have bought the box set I just keep playing it back to back. My box set is not in widescreen but I bet I would purchase it again if it does come out in widescreen. I think all the characters are excellent actors and they portrayed their part with confidence and conviction. The episodes are just so well done that they absolutely capture your attention. You are always informed of the happenings in Stars Hallow. Such a small town yet so much to do and enjoy - you would expect the towns people to be bored from not having much to do but that's just not the case. I really enjoy watching the journey of Lorali's and Rory's journey through life - their hopes and dreams - romances - fears and decisions and achievements. The organisers could not have selected a better cast for this exceptional family show. I think this show should have gone another three series at least. This is definitely one not to miss.

Any body looking at this collection wont need me to tell them how good this series is and how cheep the price is for the amount of laughs and grate hours viewers will receive once this product has be purchased, it goes without saying that Gilmore Girls is one amazing series that the whole family can enjoy. So what i can i say about this amazing box set its self, well first of all its a lovely size the collection is condensed in to a small box that contains all the series neatly and individually, the design is simple and well done making t look very nice on the shelf, over all its a win win box set to buy However the one problem i have to mention is that on mine at least once you get to series 6 and then extending on to series 7 the episodes on the episode selection menu don't have there names shown, so its hard to pick a individual episode to watch, this is only a miner irritation but it would of been nice to of shown them as i didn't know which episode i was watching once i was trying to find were i previously left off

Having been a fan of the series for so long, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the box set, watching all seven seasons start to finish over the last four months. On their own, every episode is sparkling with wit and charm that comes from the snappy dialogue and the rapport the actors have with one another, but as a whole, this series pops and buzzes electric!! Without a doubt one of the most gripping and entertaining series I have ever watched, "Gilmore Girls" is simply put, fantastic. Though suffering from something of an anti-climactic end to the series as a whole, it has been left open to be continued at a later date and, like most fans, I live in hope of a movie some day! :) Xx

I never watched any of the programmes when originally on TV, but heard the buzz about them returning on Netflix after a ten-year gap. I'm half way through the first season, and loving it. The feeling is just like that when you read a new author, love the book, and know that they've written many more. The boxed set of seven seasons contains a total of 42 DVDs, each containing four episodes, so it's remarkable value. Unlike some boxed sets (I'm looking at you, Agatha Christie's Poirot - The Definitive Collection (Series 1-13) [DVD ]) where the video quality is poor compared to the TV original, Gilmore Girls is fine. It's very easy viewing with good stories and nothing ugly. I'm looking forward to watching the rest. Hugely addictive. Update 11 February: I've just finished watching them all. Imagine how strong the story lines are to hold my attention for over 100 hours of viewing. Its signature is fast-paced dialogue, with masses of wisecracks. But it's also at time highly emotional. What a fabulous series.

Charming, funny, poignant, witty, silly, surreal, sad, sultry.... I could think of more descriptives but you probably know them all by now. I love this show. Yes, I really think that Lauren Graham is hubba hubba hot, but the whole premise of this show makes it more than just 'The Lauren Graham Show'. It's like a story board from a parallel universe where whimsy, wholesome and plain bonkers are the norm. It does get a wee bit serious in the last couple of seasons, but I accept that there needs to be a change for the story to come to an end. I got the entire box set for less than £40. Awesome value. The set includes lots of extras which add to the value of the collection. Beautifully boxed, plush and oozing with quality this is a real top notch way a box set should be presented.
