Organic Ground Ceylon Cinnamon 250g by Hatton Hill Organic

Is something strange about that cinnamon, and I bought lots and this one is not for me, is very intensive so that good, but is doesn't works with my honey recipes.

I think the hype over this type of cinnamon is a bit over the top. It’s plugged as a healthier type of cinnamon than common cassia cinnamon because it has hardly any of the chemical Coumarin in it which is apparently bad for you if you have too much of it. Well it turns out you probably need to be consuming over a teaspoon a day of cassia cinnamon for 6 months to risk any adverse health effects from the coumarin in it. My recommendation is that if you like the strong flavour of traditional cinnamon (ie common cinnamon you get in the shops) then buy that instead of this but just make sure you don’t have too much if you’re free having it regularly. This Ceylon cinnamon was quite bland/boring in tasteml so I’d only recommend it if you intend to eat large quantities of cinnamon at a time.

I bought this because I am on an alkaline vegan diet and was blown away by the difference in quality and flavour. It has an almost chocolatey taste with a lot of body. I use it in baking, smoothies and just about anything I can get away with. It enhances most sweet or borderline sweet/savoury things immensely and. I am in love!

This product is supposed to be in resealable foil type packaging, instead its turned up in massive plastic bag, that is not resealable. Its going to be impossible to open with out it going everywhere and will not keep fresh. Very disappointed, I've had this product before and the quality seems to have gone downhill. Poor value.

First time using Ceylon Cinnamon and this brand. I love Cinnamon but found the taste of this to be almost like Cinnamon with a pinch of Black Pepper. Not going to throw it away, it isn't bad, just not quite the taste I'm used to.
