KitchenAid Pasta Cutters and Roller 3-PIECE Set 5KSMPRA

Amazing attachment for the KitchenAid. It’s easy to use, simple to clean, and makes pasta effortlessly. I’ve been using it for about two months now and it works brilliantly every time, always perfect, consistent pasta.

Well made and effective product. I’m loving this machine

I own both the Kitchenaid pasta attachments, this one and the plastic one that does shapes (albeit slowly and with a lot of mess that takes 25 mins to clean up). This item wins hands down when it comes to ease of use, speed and cleaning. You literally brush this one off (2 mins) to clean it. The only issue with it is it doesn’t do the range of shapes the plastic version does. That doesn’t detract from this ones attractiveness though when compared to the other plastic one. My advice , and what I do is make comparable shapes to the other one manually (see YouTube for guidance) using this pasta machine. It will still be quicker than using the other plastic one - trust me!

After watching and reading endless reviews, finally took the decision to spent the extra for the branded compatible accessory. Straight out of the box, it looks and feels like an expensive set of well-made equipment. All three fit easily and are so simple to operate, putting the fun back into making pasta. It has made my manual roller completely redundant. Best still - I can operate this easily on my own, no more juggling turning the handle with feeding pasta and catching it the other side! Also, really easy to clean afterwards which was a nice bonus. Brilliant.

I read that this was a must have attachment for a KitchenAid. I have to say, if you make your own pasta that's certainly true! Having previously made pasta by hand and using a manual pasta machine these attachments make it a breeze. Be aware they are heavy but that is testament to their overall build quality. As you must not wash the attachments, on first use I would recommend sacrificing dough to feed through the rollers and cutters to fetch out any bits of manufacturing debris hiding in there though. They come with the briefest of manuals which includes a simple pasta recipe. Enough to get you started but don't forget to let your noodles air dry before jumbling them together or you will end up with a big shaggy lump of dough! That step is omitted from the recipe. So you may need to factor in a pasta drying rack in addition to this purchase. The roller has a step change dial to reduce sheet thickness on subsequent passes and the noodle cutters simply cut the rolled sheets into their designated noodle width. As you potentially end up with long sheets from the roller I would advise cutting the length to something more manageable before passing through a noodle cutter as it will make the eating easier when rolling the noodles onto your fork! Let the attachments air dry after use and any lingering bits of pasta dough will brush out with the supplied brush. An excellent purchase that I expect will give many years of service and add many inches to my waistline.
