I use this for my PS3 that wouldn't connect to my capture card, I use this in conjunction with my 4x1 HDMI switcher on the output and it works seamlessly! Very happy with it!

Yes, I agree it is expensive, but that's because this little device is so rich in features! Don't be deceived by its small size and simplicity of design. It actually does an amazing set of things. Good website support behind it too.I was trying to attach a microscope camera to a YoLoLiv YoLoBox but the HDMI connection just didn't work. I inserted this device (it takes power from the HDMI) and it worked.Sometimes HDMI tries to be a little too clever and fails. This device provides a fix, which shouldn't strictly speaking be necessary, but it's a complicated world!

Ok AV engineers the world over - finally the get out of jail free card for when your designer hadn't got his HDCP quite worked out, the clients budget has forced the use of domestic product somewhere in the system and you are hanging off a ladder with no picture.... Plug this puppy in and watch it get you sign off and on the way home whilst the designer is still trying to work out how to explain that it isn't his fault! Just buy two, and keep the receipts so you can claim the cost of leaving it on site back and you still have one in your tool bag.Truly awesome productIf the above doesn't makes sense to you, consult an AV professional😃

I project films from a Blu-ray in a large room with a ceiling mounted projector. The long HDMI cable is not up to handling 1080p50, but of course the projector and Blu-ray negotiate and select 1080p50, only to fail. With this gadget I can fake the Blu-ray into thinking that the projector can only handle 1080i50 (which is half of the data rate over the cable) so that's what the blu-ray gives out, and all is well. A bit pricey at £80, but hey, without it no films!

excellent product....it does what it promise...!!! the best and the only solution regarding problems when you connect your laptop with hdmi cable (mini display port) through amp or preamp to a tv screen....(the screen is moving flickering or you don't have screen at all)....i had a serious problem with the screen edid info of my laptop to my home theater system but doctor hdmi save me....!!! what a product....

I was having problems connecting a BT YouView box to a Slingbox Pro HD (via an HDMI to component converter) using 1080i. It just wouldn't work. I plugged this in and it worked instantly. It's expensive, but well worth the price to me. Excellent product.

Didn't help with my HDMI problem

A first class service from the supplier. When fixing hdmi issues it's never clear whether a particular device will solve a problem. It is somewhat trail and error. Whilst this device has a first class spec it did not solve my issue, therefore it was returned with a full refund.

I tried three other devices before Dr. HDMI, including the HD Fury 4K Vertex, that would connect an older HDMI port from my laptop to the new HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2 port on my new display. Dr. HDMI worked as plug-&-play right-out of the package. I spent 5hrs. upgrading the firmware, trying every single setting, and trying every single option in the GUI when attempting to use the Vertex and could never even get it to recognize my laptop on the input.

J'avais un problème assez pénible entre ma box bouygues et mon vieux Plasma Pioneer donnant lieu à des interruptions d'image agaçante de 2 à 3s plusieurs fois par heure. J'ai associé ce problème à une incompatibilité sur le format d'affichage de la BBox qui est à la limite de ce que mon Plasma peut gérer (1080i, pour être précis).Je souhaitais donc contraindre la sortie vidéo de la BBox de rester sur 720p, qui fonctionne elle parfaitement et je souhaitais utiliser Dr. HDMI à cet effet. Malheureusement, je me retrouve face à un écran noir mais avec un son qui sort correctement.Le support de Dr. HDMI a été très réactif et m'a rapidement orienté vers plusieurs solutions, toutes infructueuses.En fait, ce dispositif contraint un format d'affichage particulier sur le diffuseur branché en sortie... Ce qui permet d'éviter, (lors d'éventuels redémarrage, par exemple) un format d'affichage non souhaité.
