Led lenser 9405 P5.2 Professional LED Torch (Black) - Gift Box, 9405

Boy this thing's bright - it's hard to believe it's running on 1.5v from one AA battery! It's also tiny, especially for something so bright - it's about as long as an iPhone 4. Build and finish quality is very good; it has an attractive, quite grippy feeling matt black finish, although I'm not sure how hardwearing it'll be. It doesn't look like an anodised finish, more like a painted coating.Focusing works well with one hand, the simple slide back and forward producing a useful range of beam from quite a tight spot (maybe 100 mm at 1m ish?) to a very wide and evenly illuminated circle of light (more than 1m wide at 2m distance or so)This wide beam is so evenly spread I could imagine photographic applications, maybe as an impromptu video light for example.The gift box is lovely; a nice matt black affair with red accents. In the box is the torch, a nice quality nylon belt holster, wrist strap and instruction leaflet. I was buying this for myself, but it would make a lovely gift.My only slight concern is runtime, with that single AA battery, and with no option to switch to a lower brightness. Unlike some of LED Lensers' other lights this one's either 'on/super bright' or off. If that's a concern for you maybe look elsewhere, but for a very compact, extremely bright and comfortingly well made torch, you could do a lot worse. Seems like excellent value as well.

I purchased the P14.2 Pro (P5.2 big brother) during amazon black Friday as it was an expensive torch and would not normally spend that amount on a torch. I was that impressed with the quality and the sheer brilliant light it delivers I wanted a baby brother version to have for work. With one AA battery it is amazing the light it delivers. The build quality is second to none, solid, durable and just great. I was always a Maglite man and I was dubious, not anymore! Amazing to get a torch with easily available batteries to produce such light. The auto/fast focus is a very clever idea, just push or pull the head of the torch to go from a solid beam (for long distances) to a perfect circle of light (good for locating a bolt I had dropped in the garden, pitch black!). This feature stops the 24 turns on a Maglite to go from one function to the other. Spend the extra cash, one good torch is better than four crap ones (been there done that).

This is an solid, well-built, very bright and physically compact/convenient torch. It's not the cheapest but is great value for money.I have removed 1 star only because battery life is so short. I have had mine for about a year, but only really used it in total for an hour or so (it's just an emergency/spare torch). Today I needed to use it, and it started 'playing up', by only turning on 1 time out of every 3 I pressed the button. I assumed it was broken and was quite annoyed. However I put a new battery in, and now it's working fine, so I assume that the LED needs a certain minimum voltage and then it stops not working, rather than going dimmer.As long as you're aware that a Duracell Ultra only lasts about an hour of use, and always carry a spare with you in case of emergency, then you will be fine.

I have a few different Led Lenser torches, but this model is small enough to carry around, take on holiday without being weighed down. The beam can be focussed, is exceptionally bright and the build quality is high. Not sure on the new matt paint finish as it looks like it will mark easily. The old versions were gloss. The .2 new versions use a squarer led compared to the previous version's round and are quite a bit brighter. If you want a decent pocket-sized torch then choose one of these.

Perfect pocket torch, you could carry this in your jeans pocket, you will see it but it’s not massive or uncomfortable when seated. I keep it permanently in my coat pocket. Its also the most powerful torch i have seen in this size, if you were looking for a football on a full size football pitch at night and this was the only light available, you could find the ball from wherever you where stood withouth having to walk around.

Very well made little torch as in the casing, but the switch, once it becomes faulty, (only takes a little bit of moisture for example holding it in your mouth whilst working for a couple of minutes) makes the torch completely redundant. Becomes extremely unreliable turning itself on and off all the time.Poor. Don't buy.

I bought this as a present for my mother who has used it for less than 5 mins a day for two weeks. She then told me that after turning it off she could not turn it on again. After leaving it off for a few minutes it would work again and at first I thought that the switch was faulty, as others had. However, after measuring the battery voltage I found that the battery was only providing 1.1V and was drained. I had fitted a new good quality alkaline battery, but not the Duracell supplied, and it had lasted about 1hr in total. I will now fit a NiMh followed by the Duracell and see how long they last.So, battery life for us does not seem to be the "up to 5hrs" claimed and if it fails to turn on you should change the battery.Update: 3rd Feb 2016A new pre-charged NiMh battery has lasted 18 days at less than 5 mins use per day which is approx 1.5 hrs use.

Small extremely powerful. Very bright light just what I wanted. Easy to carry in your pocket anytime.

First time I bought this flashlight was over 10 years ago. I was interested in the LED technology, the focusing system, and the modular construction with replaceable parts. Since then, I purchased an additional five for home use and three as gifts to friends and family.The original two that I purchased over 10 years ago are still working. I highly recommend it. It is worth the money.

Bright useful light from a single AA cell.

Si presenta in maniera molto elegante nella sua scatola marchiata Led Lenser, ben protetta. A corredo un laccetto e una bella custodia che calza perfettamente e sembra proteggere adeguatamente. La torcia non ha fronzoli: un pulsante posteriore per l'accensione, e una singola modalità di luce (fissa), con fascio variabile, da concentrato e super-luminoso a più ampio e con luce più diffusa. La regolazione può avvenire tramite rotazione o pressione della ghiera anteriore, in modo molto pratico, utilizzando una sola mano. Da una prima impressione, il fascio di luce è molto buono, e sicuramente tra gli aspetti positivi c'è il fatto di essere alimentata da una semplice batteria stilo (tra l'altro c'è una Duracell in dotazione), cosicchè basterà tenere sempre a portata di mano un'altra stilo per non rimanere a piedi. Con l'avvento dei led sembrano finalmente finiti i tempi di quei pesantissimi attrezzi con quintali di pile formato torcia, regolarmente scariche quando se ne aveva bisogno...Mi riservo di correggere la recensione in caso dovessi riscontrare anomalie in futuro, ma per ora l'impressione è ottima.

Es una linterna pequeña y muy ligera.Tiene una potencia de iluminación genial (parece que alumbra más de los 140lm teóricos que tiene).Viene con una práctica funda que se puede poner en el cinturón para llevarla cómodamente y que también sirve para protegerla.Sólo lleva una pila tipo AAA (lo que la hace muy ligera)La recomiendo al 100%.

Die LedLenser P5.2 ist mittlerweile nach der Mini-Lampe K2 sowie dem gößeren Bruder der P7 bzw. P7.2 mein tes Modell einer LedLenser Taschenlampe.Während die kleine K2 ihren ständigen Platz auf meinem Schlüsselbund hat, habe ich eine P7.2 in meiner Alltags-Handtasche.Im Job habe ich bis jetzt mit großer Zufriedenheit eine P7 genutzt welche durch große Leuchtkraft und lange Leuchtdauer besticht. - Da ich die lange Leuchtdauer im Job allerdings nicht wirklich brauche, da ich die Lampe nie länger als ein paar Minuten eingeschaltet habe, habe ich mich nach einem etwas kompakteren Modell beim Hersteller meines Vertrauens Zweibrüder umgeschaut und bin so auf die etwas kleinere LedLenser 5.2 gestoßen.Im Vergleich zur 7.2 wiegt sie nur die Hälfte (79g) und bringt mit nur einer AA Batterie beachtliche 140lm (etwas weniger als die Hälfte der P7.2). Mit immerhin 5Std. Leuchtdauer ist sie für meinen Zweck vollauf geeignet und ist deutlich leichter und angenehmer am Gürtel als die größere P7. Im direkten Vergleich zur P7.2 zeigt die P5.2 ein etwas bläulicheres Licht, außerdem verfügt die P5.2 lediglich über eine Helligkeitsstufe.Die saubere Verarbeitung in gewohnt guter LedLenser Qualität ist auch bei diesem Modell vollauf gegeben. Die Lampe ist fokusierbar. Zum Lieferumfang gehört neben einem Lanyard auch ein praktischer Holster. Der Holster kann wahlweise am Gürtel oder auf einem Molle-System montiert werden. Die Lampe kann auch während sie sich im Holster befindet eingeschalten werden. Ebenfalls zum Lieferumfang gehört eine Marken-Batterie (Fa. Duracell) der notwendigen Größe AA.
