ODI MX Longneck SL No Flange Grip

I have been using these ODI grips for many years (I think these are the Tomac design grips if you can remember who John Tomac is!!!) and they are by far the most comfortable grips that I have ever used. The grips have raised circular rubber ridges that do not look to be comfortable in photos but work fantastically well in practice and remove "trail buzz" extremely well. This particular set were marked up as "Limited Edition" extra soft grips and are available in many different colours. They were also claimed to be extra long and this appears to be the case. They are not "lock on" grips but easily fitted (I always spray the bars with cheap hair spray immediately before fitting) and once the hairspray dries they tend to stay in place without slipping although removing them again can be rather difficult if you need to re-use them again afterwards (check online for advice on the easiest ways to remove them again). Most of the grips that I have used that have "lock on" collars at both ends are far too thin and hard rubber and thus are not comfortable at all. For around ten (UK) pounds these are great grips and they tend to be fairly durable too but are cheap enough to replace every few months if necessary. Word of warning.... Be careful using the supplied plastic ODI bar ends as they take a lot of effort to fit and look like they might be a real pain to remove.

If you are riding a bike everyday definitely get theses because they are soft easy to put on and look good

Very good grips, extremely comfortable to ride with and very soft, only complaint is on the durability, they don't seem to last very long, but they still feel great

This has far exceeded my expectations and is exactly what I was looking for. A comfortable and grippy grip. Clearly, a lot od thought and consideration has gone into all aspects of the design (including the packaging, which can up-cycles into a keyring! What?! Yes, a keyring). Its made in the USA which makes a nice change to China. As soon as you open the box and touch this item you will love it, just whatever you do - buy it. You can always return it, but you won't, you will be so blown away you will get off you bicycle butt and write a similar review to this.

The bars are excellent, BUT the bungs at each end which display the logo, very necessary if you're a teenager DONT fit..maybe possible to shave them but since the size of the bars must be of regulated size this must be a really bad oversight. Your comment please?

These are so nice that I now ride without gloves and have a lot better feel of what I am doing on my bike. I recommend buying some strong hold hairspray for installation.

Ich bin ein leidenschaftlicher Extremsportler, der viel Zeit auf seinem BMX und Dirt-Bike verbringt. Bevor ich auf die ODI Longneck aufmerksam wurde, habe ich alle paar Monate meine Griffe gewechselt. Mal waren sie zu hart, mal sind sie zu schnell auseinander gefallen oder haben nicht richtig gehalten. Die ODI erfüllen alle Anforderungen, die für mich wichtig sind. - Sie sind sehr weich, was ideal für empfindliche Hände ist, die zu schneller Blasenbildung und anschließendem Aufreißen neigen. - Die Lamellenstruktur bietet hervorragenden Grip, selbst im Hochsommer, wenn man sehr schwitzige Hände hat. - Der Griff besitzt einen dicken Durchmesser und ist deshalb auch für große Hände geeignet. - So lange kein Dreck zwischen Lenker und Griff kommt, sitzt dieser bombenfest. - Trotz dass der Griff so weich ist, weist er eine lange Haltbarkeit auf, reißt nicht auseinander und lässt sich nicht zerdrücken. Lediglich die Lamellen leiden mit der Zeit etwas. Ich habe mir einen kleinen Vorrat angelegt und kann diese Griffe klar empfehlen.

Produit conforme. Il convient de retirer les poignées d'origine pour les placer. L espace est serré pour pouvoir garder la fonctionnalité du passage des vitesses et changement de plateaux. Astuce : pour faciliter leur positionnement, les chauffer 20 sec au micro ondes dans un bac avec un peu d'eau pour assouplir le plastique le temps de la pose. Ce produit est un choix purement esthétique.
