I do a-lot of BBQing through the year and needed a decent set of heat protecting gloves.These are quite large, but that's what you want for maximum protection. They come virtually all the way up my forearm and have a kind of inner glove for extra protection.Wearing these, I've been able to handle hot pizza stones, hot cast iron grates and even burning logs.I've marked them down one star as they can sometimes be quite tricky to get on and off with that inner glove turning inside out and it's not clear which way round you are supposed to wear them - maybe it doesn't matter though.TIP: Don't think you are suddenly invincible wearing these - they do protect from the heat but with exceptionally hot objects you will still feel the heat coming through and won't be able to hold for very long.

I bought my first pair of gloves a few years ago for my BBQ, not only were the gloves infinitely capable of protecting me from the heat of the cook. I got so used to them protecting me that I find them more helpful in turning large cuts of meat without utensils and I use the flame side (how I can tell which side is for food and which side can be dirty) to remove the grates and occasionally move around the coals. When it was time to retire the oven mits in our kitchen, I was over the moon... We now have a second pair of gloves in the house.

I was looking for a decent pair of oven gloves as I prefer individual gloves. Really impressed with this product as they are very effective and most certainly do the job. I also like the idea that they can be washed as unless we are the only messy household our gloves always end up with something on them. Restoring them to original will be good. A great price.

Very pleased with these . Definitely do the job they are designed for , totally protect the hands when barbecuing. Preferable to oven gloves , due to flexible fingers. Bought 12 months ago ,used for the first time then . I was asked for them again this year . Many hands barbecue at our annual family event . Extremely well made . Highly recommend . Large to X-Large ... more like just about a Large.I have reasonably large hands, but I do not think they are XL sized by any stretch of the imagination.If you struggle with other 'Large' gloves, you may well struggle with these too.They are good mind and do what they say, making handling hot dishes and metal handled pans straight out of a 200C plus oven a doddle and with much more certainty that you aren't going to have to rush getting the item onto a suitable surface before the heat penetrates to you hands.

It is a good heat resistant glove, I say glove as I only got the one glove. My husband thought that I had gone mad buying just one glove, but looking at the product, it is confusing as it shows two gloves but the description says glove? It is a good heat resistant glove, might buy another one at some point although not sure which hand I have at home!

I have tried other so called heat proof gloves by another well known barbecue brand and found that they just melted!. These however are just so different and protect your hands and lower forearms from the intense heat of a Weber kettle barbecue, would definetly recommend them.

Brilliant gloves. Use in log burner. Never felt even a smidge of heat. Both my husband (with bigger hands) and i can use them fine.
