Das Buch ist in einwandfreiem Zustand.Das Thema ist sehr gut aufbereitet.Alles in allem eine runde Sache.Gefällt mir sehr gut.

I own a business in Seattle that imports Venetian Plaster and Tadelakt from Europe. I have over a hundred books about decorative plastering and painting. I think this book, for both professionals and novices, is by far the best book on the subject of Tadelakt I've ever come across. It is compact and to the point. It is accessible for any novice but it is detailed enough for a professional applicator to learn something. Author is very knowledgeable. I've probably read it 3-4 times.The two star reviewer on this book is disappointed that it does not have actual recipes for making your own Tadelakt at home. They are correct, it does not. Same as books on painting generally do not have recipes for how to make paint. As long as you are not trying to learn how to make Tadelakt from scratch but just want to know what it is, how to apply it, learn about the chemistry, the history, the modern context of Tadelakt, and see some great photos of installations, this is an excellent book.

I live in the United States and I would like to use this technique. It would be helpful to have better information on getting supplies or what would be acceptable substitutes that are easily available in the USA, and more basic instructions like Instructables.

Das Buch ist "artig gemacht". Weniger ein Fachbuch, mehr ein Kunstbuch.Wer ein Fachbuch möchte, sollte es lieber vergessen, vor allem wegen der Fehler und Ungenauigkeiten im chemischen Teil. Kalk wird nicht bei 200°C gebrannt - auch in Marokko nicht. Und Gallseife wird auch anders hergestellt; eine Strukturformel ist falsch, der Bezug darauf im Text paßt nicht usw.Dennoch ist es möglicherweise momentan das informativste Buch zu der Thematik auf dem Markt (sic!). Alternaiv kann ich noch "Der dekorative Wandverputz" von Philippe Chastel empfehlen, da wird Tadelakt wesentlich kürzer, aber kaum weniger umfassend abgehandelt, außerdem hat man in dem Buch noch etwa 30 andere Wandverputze erklärt - für weniger Geld.Die Beschreibung der handwerklichen Ausführung "geht so", man kommt bei der Thematik halt nicht daran vorbei, das auch zu beschreiben. Das wichtigste bei der Ausführung ist schließlich das Gefühl in der Hand, und das kann man eben nicht mit einem Buch vermitteln.Aber insgesamt empfindet man das Buch als sehr "dünn". Mit Bildern und Design (immer diese waagerechten Linien auf den Textseiten!) aufgeblasen.Es ist halt ein Kunstbuch/ Bildband.Dann will ich es auch mal so betrachten:Der hohe Preis ist für diesen Markt vielleicht angemessen - weiß ich nicht.Es ist schön geschrieben. Die Reiseeindrücke von Marokko, ein Bißchen Kulturbeschreibung, die vielen scharfen Bilder mit tollen Farben und toller Ausleuchtung, die Aufmachung der Seiten mit wenig Text und viel Farbfoto... sehr artig. Es macht wirklich Lust auf den Werkstoff Tadelakt, man kann sich gleich begeistern. Böse Zungen könnten das ganze Buch als Werbung bezeichnen, aber das will ich gar nicht. Tadelakt ist toll, und wer ihn mal unter der Hand hatte, weiß das.Meine Mutter hat es durchgeblättert und toll gefunden; (ich selbst bin Handwerker und hätte mir bessere Fachinformationen gewünscht).Für ein Kunstbuch hätten es dann aber doch noch ein paar mehr Araber, Kamele und Sanddünen sein können.Ich als Zimmermann muß schließen: Ein Werk, das den Maler- und Lackierermeister (Autor) so erkennen läßt, wie ich die Werke der Maler bisher kennenlernen durfte: Wunderbar anzuschauen, bis man aufs Detail blickt.Ein Hingucker bleibt es aber.
