Prestige Inspire Bakeware Oven Tray - Black,39 cm

Feels solid, the non stick surface is very good and it is easy to clean after use, so 10/10 for me.

These are the best baking trays I have ever bought! - they are heavyweight, but that's what makes them a quality product - very robust, so it doesn't buckle in the oven, with a really good non-stick surface. We already have the small size and it was so good we bought larger ones. One note worth making - It's the Prestige INSPIRE range you need - NOT the Prestige Aerolift (which looks similar but is so flimsy it flexes in your hands before you even put it in the oven). The Inspire range is true quality.

The Prestige brand is well-established and was my mother's first choice for cook- and bake-ware; some of those she bought decades ago were still used until very recently and that speaks for their quality and longevity. The "Prestige Inspire - Large Oven Tray - Non Stick - Heavy Gauge Carbon Steel - 39 x 26.5 x 2 cm" is slightly larger than normally needed but ideal when baking freehand loaves, bread rolls, buns etc. They are to replace a set of three purchased several years ago from a major high street kitchenware chain but which had since lost any non-stick abilities they may once have had; a recent batch of bread rolls made just days ago stuck as if glued with an industrial adhesive but not at all to another superior non-stick tray purchased elsewhere rather more recently. The working surface is impressed with shallow convex dimples to further reduce the tendency for anything that might stick to a completely flat surface. The tray is claimed to be usable up to Gas Mark 9 or 240-deg C which is way above any temperature most breads, biscuits etc ever need. Fairly priced, and with a brand-name that offers high quality and 25-year guarantee. They should fit larger ovens, typically those within a 55 or 60 cm cooker, but there is a smaller sized tray that looks identical if required.

Keeps clean easily, sturdy, feels quality

Great - exactly what I wanted. Great size, extremely non-stick coating and I think the design of the base (the criss-cross pattern embossed) must improve airflow as anything cooked on there is crispy and more golden. Extremely easy to clean after, excess fat pours away and then just needs a quick, hot wash. These are heavy which is a good thing - they're not too heavy to cause a problem but strong and robust, no chance of these warping at top heat and I often cook with this tray at 220c. Very happy with this and the smaller one and would definitely buy again... I tend to hang on to my cooking trays too long (until they have lost their non-stickness!) so hope these are still available when it's eventually time to replace them.

I've had these trays for 5 years. I bake and cook a LOT. The trays are still like new. Still non stick. No issues at all. Highly recommend them.

The Meyer Prestige oven tray is made from black heavy gauge carbon steel, does not bend or warp when hot and comes with a 25-year guarantee. Measuring approx. 39cm x 26cm x 2 cm, the tray has a cushion effect interior surface and is dishwasher, freezer, fridge and oven safe up to 240°C or equivalent. If, like me, you do not have a dishwasher and wash dishes the old-fashioned way, the oven tray is easy to clean. I am delighted with this excellent quality and entirely fit for purpose oven tray 5*

Took a chance on these trays and was a little bit hesitant as the description never mentioned teflon which I thought was a must for non-stick. I don't know ehat carbon steel is but its infinitely more durable and non-stick than any of the supermarket bought tatt. Still amazes me how non-stick they actually are and have continued to be. Little heavy but that's a sign of good quality and hopefully long life. Very impressed, sorry I doubted you.
