I am using this box to house an Internet Mesh node extender in an outside location. The box is well made and sturdy and waterproof. It has a rubber seal around the inside of the lid and locks shut with stainless latches. It is well designed to allow you to hang devices on the interior perforated back plate without drilling through the outside of the box. The box is secured in place by stainless adjustable tabs that do not penetrate the inside of the box. It is really waterproof. Wires and cables can be inserted through drill holes in the bottom of the box which are then waterproofed by rubber grommets. Good product for outside applications.

I bought this to house a pool light controller outdoors in Texas. It was the perfect solution. I could not find anything like this in terms of the correct size, the high quality, and the immediate availability at any Home Depot or Lowes store nearby. As you can see from my video, I was pretty happy with it. It does not include the scores needed to fasten the box to whatever you're attaching it to (wood, brick, etc.) I was able to drill two each one inch holes in the bottom for an electrical conduit access using a drill bit for wood. No cracking!

I bought this waterproof box to house my outdoor rated ceiling fan remote control, which is obviously not outdoor rated lol. The remote fit very nicely inside the box and the box itself has a lgrid base that allows wood screws to attach the remote receiver, very nicely and solid solidly in the box.

BEWARE: "Transparent" cover does not necessarily mean clear. There appears to be two kinds of transparent covers: 1) clear as in like glass, and 2) tinted. I have an application where I was going to have a sunlight sensor inside looking through the cover; on the smaller model that arrived with clear like glass, it worked (8-10% reduction), but when I moved to a larger model, e.g. 5.9" square, what arrived was tinted -- that thwarts what I needed. Otherwise, the case is excellent, especially now that they have an IP rating. The description and ability to choose which model does not make the dichotomy of clear vs. tinted, they only differentiate "transparent" vs. opaque. So if you need glass-like clear, make sure to evaluate what arrives before opening it and using it (I didn't and it didn't dawn on me that I had different readings with the larger tinted version than I had with the smaller "clear" one).

I love this box. I was hesitant at first because I've not had great luck with all things from this brand but I will say being that this one for the size i bought would be in the upper price range and there is a reason. The latches are awesome. I cannot overstate how firm, heavy duty they feel and I hope last the harsh colorado winters. It's spring now so this box will see some stuff to get ready for winter and I'll post along the way. The transparent window is also really cool. I wasn't sure the extra cost would be worth it but it was. To my surprise it's slightly tinted it seems so and my use case is a water proof and mobile solar charge station. I'm a diy maker and I get a brain fart idea and I try to piece things together to make it professional. This box makes my diy stuff professional. The quality of the plastic is thick and durable. I have very shakey hands due to injury and I already dropped those box from a good distance and it held up. Like really well. I don't have a need to test that any further as this will mostly be hanging somewhere but still in the elements with an occasional accidental drop. I love that I can also remove the peg board in the back of the box so that I can prep my wires and electronics to fit perfectly without fiddling in the box while prototyping. Will post pics. Love this item. Will order a few more after winter if they hold up.

Worked perfect for what I needed it for, good water tight fit. Wished it came in black but I just gave it a light sanding and spray painted it black

Not as tough or thick as Bud or Hammond, but it does the job. I ended up selecting this enclosure because it was in a size that worked for me. Also, the way they handle the mounting worked out well. The hinges and latch are not as good as you can find with more industrial enclosures, but if no one messes with the box, I think it will be fine. The gasket looks good. I think it will be relatively water tight. All of the mounting is done external to the enclosure to reduce the chance of a leak. I did not use the included cable strain relief. I used something else.
