Love this!
My son found one of these in a charity shop which unfortunately didn’t work as bulb was faulty, this one has sparked his interest & is currently collecting dead insects, dust etc to examine under the microscope! Easy to use, lovely kit

Good, but only toy quality.
A decent product, but remember you're buying a toy and not anything of exceptional quality. As an introduction to microscopes and as a bit of fun, this has been pretty good. It kept our 8 year old son engaged for a while, but didn't quite open up a whole new world for him!

Amazing Pocket Microcope! 10/10*
I bought two, one each for my two grandsons who are 4 and 6. One was opened yesterday and it's brilliant!! Easy to insert the 2 x AA batteries and boy did we hve fun! Included are two sets of slides with things on for you to examine and then we found lots of things to inspect. Hair (that was Amazing), dust, plant leaf. I think I want one for myself!!! The magnification is really good. I thoroughly recommend the pocket microscope and best of all, it easily fits into a pocket. A good booklet is also included. Good to go! It's so lovely to buy something that actually does as it says on the box!!

Looks ideal
I have bought this item for my seven-year-old daughter for Christmas she wanted a microscope but I didn’t want to get one of the normal ones because I didn’t think it would get used as much having to be constantly set out and put away I read the reviews for this one been over to take it out with you and use it on the go I thought it would get a lot more use and be much more fun I hope it is as good as the reviews say in that she enjoys it thoroughly the boxes small but the price was quite good so fingers crossed we get a good lot of use out of it

This was a very exciting surprise.
I bought this for my son to use in the park. Surprisingly, he was surrounded by kids of all ages who were saying it was ‘sick’ (he was 6 at the time) which made me giggle. He loved this so much. It was an immediate hit. But then it cracked on the first day of using it. He was so upset and convinced it was something he did. He is autistic and gets upset when he cannot process something. All the kids were surrounding him explaining he had t done anything and it must have had a small crack in which just became a large crack when it was used. For the short time he used it he examined an ant but made sure it could escape, a grain of sand, a scab 🤢 food, He was very gentle with it. He was so delighted. So it was a great buy but either had a slight crack that got worse with a little use or is too fragile to open and close. But I was reassured by older kids that he was handling it very carefully. He is a careful and inquisitive child so I do trust he was gentle. It’s a great idea and was so exciting to see just how immersed in his surroundings my child got. I’d return it for a replacement but it was a ball ache trying to communicate.

Great fun
My daughter wasn't that impressed with the idea...but it's the one thing she keeps getting out and using to look at all sorts of icky things. She finds it really interesting. A bit of a pain now because the light keeps going off (probably a loose connection) so it could be a bit better made, but still pretty good for a 7 year old to explore with.

Good tou, good price, gender oriented package.
Great product but my 5 year old daughter was bothered because there is a boy and bot a girl on the package. She thought that was a boy's toy. I had to explain that girls can be scientists too.

Excellent first microscope!!
Great microscope, this is a really good first microscope kit, brought for my little girl who is 6 years old. It comes with a couple of slides already made up to view and slides for you to make up, containers to collect things in and stickers to mark up the slides. The detail is great you can really see alot, would thoroughly recommend for any child's first microscope
